Topic: RE: Help - Bread problems!
I ate a slice of whole grain toast this morning with peanut butter because of the good things it offers (protein, fiber, carbs, etc) a little carb daily is necessary..maybe your body just craves it? It's good that you are selective in your bread choices. I get the "rock" feeling after eating any solid food (usually too fast) so I don't know if it is because of the bread or not.

Kim,
You look so good....congrats on your accomplishment!!
I'm sorry to hear you've been having a hard time. I know how you feel and some days I look back at everything I've been through this past year (WLS, hubby being off work for months because of his back, going thru bankruptcy, crap at work, worrying about my weight...not losing enough/fast enough and fear of gaining it all back again, feeling like hubby is not supportive of me, etc) and wonder how I even get out of bed in the morning and face another day.
Keep your head up and do your best to work the tool to your advantage. Email me if you ever need to talk or vent. Take care!

Topic: RE: INSURANCE DENIAL, ANGRY
Kimberly, Try USAA because I called them and they are going to insure me even with having had the surgery. It is alittle more a month, like about 12-15 dollars, but once I hit my goal weight and stay at it for 3 years then they will lower the rate. This was for a 20 year insurance plan.
Hope this helps!!

Topic: RE: How much do you move?
I feel as if I'm constantly moving. I have an iPod with lots of music..especially by the "group" Gorillaz. I walk a mile and 1/2 home instead of take the bus..walk through campus...stand and dance or pace instead of sitting. I'm getting these sexy muscles in my thighs from all the moving.
Topic: A WOW MOMENT!!! CAN'T BELIEVE ~~~~~~~~~~~~
OMG!!!! I don't know if I want to dance or cry!!! I think I could do both!!!!
Hi everyone!!! After a short stall this month I have finally reached the Century Mark. I have lost a total of 103 pounds. I am 9-1/2 months post op and sometimes felt that I would never reach this point.
Thank you to all of you for being there for all of us who have chosen to cross over to the "losing side". We are all so fortunate that we can come together on this website to support each other.
I started this journey on January 10, 2005 at 261 pounds and currently weigh 158 pounds. This leaves me with 33 more pounds to lose, depending on my goal weight which is between 120-125 pounds. I am only 5 feet tall.
I want to also thank my doctor, Dr. Paul Cirangle for his skill and knowledge of this type of surgery. I truly feel that my surgery went well because of his skilled hands and also for his care and support of all of his patients.
I also want to thank my LOL for his never ending support in my journey to become a healthier person.
Have a safe and wonderful weekend!!!!
Aloha, Pat

Topic: RE: Update....
Hey Kate,
I hope that you do stabilize and I am so realieved that your tests came back all good. Hopefully you won't need the dialtion done but at least they are willing to "ru****" if they have to, of course I don't know why it has not been put in for approval long ago since they knew it would take 3 weeks to get it approved. UGH!

Kimberly do you live in Germany right now, if so what part, because I'm looking for some good doctors, maybe you can help me out. I'm in the process of relocating to Frankfrut Germany I will arrive there on Thrusday Nov 3, I have never heard of such crazyness in denying life insurance, I'm a two time cancer survivor and I know they won't insure me because of that, but I have never heard denial because of the gastric by pass, I would really research and see if that is legal. Well take care and I hope to hear from you soon.
