Topic: RE: Carb Cravings
Hi Jenn!! As a die hard South Beacher, I can say if my body felt the cravings I'd know it was trying to tell me I had to many bad carbs and to step back, take some out, maybe a lot out, and try again. When I am PMSing I have major carb cravings, so what do I do? I eliminate them for the most part.............even the good ones. We have to learn to listen to what our bodies are saying, and work with them. If you are craving it, you're getting too much, time to cut back. I hope this is helpful to you. Topic: Ready for Plastic Surgery
Well today I had my consult with Dr. King (Plastic Surgeon). I was very impressed with him and his staff. Hopefully in Jan I can remove all this excess skin. His office manager said January looks good and it will definately be on a Monday as I will be in the OR for the full day. They are submitting to my insurance for a Tummy Tuck. I am upgrading to a Belt Lipectomy. So here are the totals with and without the insuance. I will be having a Belt Lipectomy, Bilateral mastopexy and bilateral brachioplasty. Without insurance total 17,852. With insurance covering the plain tummy tuck and me upgrading it will be 14,982. So there it is. Arms wings, stomach, butt, outer thighs, mounds area and breasts lifted. He recommended that I do NOT do implants as my breasts are just saggy and he feels that with a lift and making them perky again I will have a full B-C cup without the implants and will be well proportioned with my frame. I was happy to hear that and agree with him. He will do it all in one long surgery. As for the inner thighs, he will not do that with everything else as it will be to much swelling around the pubic area. However he said some of that will pull up with the belt lipectomy and I should wait and see how everything looks after the surgery and the swelling is done. If I still want to do the thighs it can be done at a lter date. So I will hope that they will look ok and I won't need more work. I am so excited and with or without the small amount my insurance may or may not cover I am going for it. I have met several people who have had him and have had amazing results.

Jenn, I don't know but I seem to be having the same thing! I've been craving something sweet and/or carb-y. I'm allowing myself some carbs, but trying not to go overboard. Hang in there! Vickie J.

Man I do not know what is going on but the last two days I have wanted carbs so bad. I even had a half a bagel today, which by the way made my tummy upset. At lunch I had a wrap and even when I was full I wanted to eat more for the flat bread that was there (I did not, do not want an upset tummy twice in one day). But now I am sitting here and would kill for any bread what so ever. What the heck is going on with me today. Jenn

I don't dump easy, and I ate a kit kat (the 2 pack) and a twix mini and I was shaking, but I have been eating (thanks to my hubby bringing them home all the time) the little mini snickers and recees for a couple of months here and there but only one or two at a time. Sill its habits I'm slipping into and its hard when he eats them in front of me but he's not gonna quit. Yes I've been bad and i have 4 kids bags of candy to resist. So pray for me! LOL! I'll need it! Somebody do somthin cast a spell hit my hubby upside his head I need to quit this NOW! Marti 253/170/???

I am scared to death of dumbing on surger, I am also scared of not (because then I will know I can have it) so I did not try any real candy. I did have a few pieces of sugar free to curb my need. I think I was pretty good. Jenn

Hi Jenny! We share the same surgery date January 10, 2005 Don't feel bad, I saw my surgeon about 3 weeks ago and this is what he told me. He said that I had another 4 month "window" in which I could lose weight. After that he said it would be pretty hard. Can you believe that? I thought we could still lose up to 18-24 months!!! I started out at 261 pounds and have lost 103 pounds. I have approximately 33 more pounds to lose. This would depend on my goal which actually started out at 115 pounds and has changed to 120-125 pounds. By the way, I am only 5 feet tall. How tall are you? He told me that if I got down to 140 pounds he would be really happy. Well, I wouldn't!!! When I think of all my hard work, not to mention the supplements and protein powder that I have purchased!!! That would simply be not acceptable to me. I asked him what I could do, and all he could tell me was to step up my exercising. I wasn't happy at all that day. I actually became very depressed and thought I can't believe that it's almost over!!! After thinking it over I told myself that I was not going to give up!! Now I'm even more determined to get down to 120-125 pounds. Jenny, let's stick together and support each other for the next months. Let's not give up!!! E-mail me whenever you feel like it!!! I'll be here for you!!! Have wonderful week and the upcoming weekend. Keep up the awesome work, you have done just great!!!! Aloha, Pat 261/158/120-125
