Topic: RE: About the plateau breaker
Hi Stephanie! I'm not sure if you would call this a plateau breaker. You and I share the same surgery date, January 10, 2005.
My diet up to now has basically been what you listed and I have reached a terrible plateau. My surgeon told me that I have approximately 4 more months to lose. I need to lose 30 more pounds. I started out on the day of surgery at 261 pounds and am currently stuck at 158 pounds. I'm only 5 feet tall so my goal is 120-125 pounds.
Congratulations you have done awesome and you also look terrific!!
I saw your before and after pictures.
Right now I have joined the 24 Hour Fitness in hopes of losing the last 30 pounds. I sure hope it works. After coming this far, I would be so
disappointed if I don't reach my goal. My doctor told me that after 12-13 months it becomes even harder.
He strongly encouraged me to do some harder training. Previously I was on the treadmill almost everyday for 1 hour +.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy about losing the 103 pounds so far,
but I still want to reach my goal. Sorry that I'm rambling on so much about myself.
I know that you will reach your goal! I guess the last 7-9 pounds will
just take a little longer. Sometimes I wonder if I'm taking in enough calories. I normally get about 500-600 per day. I take a protein shake and get 65 gms. of protein per day in addition to my vitamins, B-12, iron,
calcium and biotin.
My daily diet consists of:
Breakfast - Protein shake
Lunch - 3-4 oz. of fish or chicken and some veggies
Dinner - same as lunch
My doctor also does not allow any snacks. I drink 130-140 oz. of water.
I'm cheering you on and am sure that you'll reach your goal by your first
anniversary.
Take care and have a great week!!!
Aloha, Pat

Topic: RE: Plateau help....
Hi Mimi, I have been on a plateu for two weeks and finally broke through. I did it by drinking decaf coffee inbetween meals to curve my aptetite. I add sugar free syrups to make it yummy. I wish I had discovered this earlier. Maybe not the healthiest advice but worked for me. Since I have been doing the decaf thing I have lost 4 pounds in the last week. Hang in there kiddo, plateus are the worst. They drive me nuts

Can anyone give me some ideas to try? at this point I will do whatever to get this going again. I feel like a failure and worried all the time that I wont lose the rest. Please help....

Topic: RE: Ready for Plastic Surgery
I saw my GB Surgeon on 7/15. I was at 155 then. He said Well are you ready for plastics? I told him no.
When I went home and thought about it I thought I may just want to start that process now afterall. Not knowing how long it would all take.
Well the hernia had been bothering me a lot and I thought what if I had to have an emergency hernia repair? I was hoping that combining the hernia with PS might save me some $$. So the next day I called and said I was ready. He said he would send my file info to the PS I had selected.
I called and got an appointment for 11/4 so I was glad I called since it was so long for the appointment.
So now it looks like Jan or Feb. I think he was ok with starting the process now since I was so close to goal.
I am so very excited and anxious for the next step.
HUGS

Topic: Bakery Barn Protein Cookie Bars
I have found a new source of protein for those who can handle sugars. The XP Cookie Bars have 30 grams of protein each and the cookies have 22 grams each. **Yes, unfortunately, these do have sugar, but they are high in protein and look great. Also on the unfortunate side, they do not sell individual packages or sample packs. They may be able to tell you where you can get them locally.
I have ordered some and will let you know how they taste.
But in the interim, if you are interested, here is the link to their site.

Topic: About the plateau breaker
Hello everyone.
About a month ago I was reading about the plateau breaker. I think I'm going to give this a try. I would like to know who has tried this plateau breaker and if you used any spices on your meats or if you ate them without. I would like to have flavor to my food but I also want it to work. I know it says if its not on the list you can't have it so it sounds like salt, pepper, and other spices are out. Please let me know what worked for you? I would like to lose 7 to 9 lb. in the next 13 days if possible. I seem to bounce up and down with 3 pounds and just want to see things move again.
Below is the plateau breaker I'm talking about.
Thank You,
Stephanie
