Hi Pat, I didn't realize our window was only to Feb. It makes sence though. So we basically have another good three months to get to goal. Unfortunately the holidays are in those three months. I will remain focused. My first holiday season where I am not pigging out. This will be a first for me.

Hi Pat, thanks for responding. I always feel an extra attachement to you because you are not only from Hawaii but also had surgery the exact same day I did. Thanks for responding. Hugs

1) How much have you lost so far: 107 pounds 2) How much until you hit goal: 4 more until my surgeons goal but I think I would like to loose another 10 on top of that, I will have to see when I get there. 3) How many calories are you eating now daily: I don't count calories everyday. I only check my calories every once in a while. But for the most part about 1200 a day. 4) How much do you excercise: I was going to the gym 5 days a week but I am now at about 3 days a week. I usually do the Eliptical for 45 min. and then the treadmil for between 15-30 min, this includes me running about 1 mile to 1 1/2 miles. I also do the weights about twice a week. It seems as though everyone is doing great!!! Becky P. 271/164/160

I've lost 144.5 lbs., goal is about another 53, and I'm right around 1000 calories I think, like everybody else I'm not really keeping track as much as watching what & how much. I'm on the treadmill & ab lounger 4-5 x wk. and I just joined a gym today to start trying to tighten up and build muscle before time for plastics. So glad to read everybodies great progress reports. This is such an adventure....

Hi Mitzi!! l. I started out on January 10, 2005 at 261 pounds, and have lost 103 pounds. I currently weigh 158 pounds but have been on a plateau for 2 weeks. 2. I need to lose 30-35 more pounds to reach my personal goal of 120-125 pounds. I am only 5 feet tall. Actually, I think I should actually weigh more like 110-115 pounds. 3. I eat approx. 500-600 calories per day. 4. I was doing the treadmill at home every other day for about 1 hour. But I have recently joined 24 Hour Fitness and try to workout every morning for about 1-1/2 hours. I really need to lose these last 30-35 pounds!! Congratulations to everyone!!! You are all doing awesome with your weight loss!!!

Hi Mimi!! Just like Mitzi, I too have been on a plateau for about 2 weeks. Do you take a protein shake? Are you getting in at least 70 grams of protein per day? Stay away from any carbs (rice, pasta, bread, potato, etc.). That will surely ruin things. What is your daily menu like? Here's mine: Breakfast - Protein shake Lunch - 3-4 oz. of chicken or fish and some veggies Dinner - same as lunch I drink about 130 oz. of water per day. My doctor also doesn't allow any snacks. I know that all doctors are different, but these are my requirements. Plateaus are fustrating. I was using my treadmill at home, but my doctor told me that I needed to step up my exercising to more cardio and weights. So I just joined 24 Hour Fitness and have been working out with weights, the elliptical, and stationary bike. Don't be discouraged, I think at this point of the game we same to all be at about the same place with our weight loss. I weighed 261 pounds on the date of my surgery, January 10, 2005 and have lost 103 pounds. I have another 30 pounds to reach my goal. I'm only 5 feet tall so I don't have much play as far as my goal. Actually, I would like to lose another 35 pounds but I just don't know if that's possible. How tall are you? My doctor did tell me that shorter people have lower metabolism and will not lose weight as quickly. Who would have thought!!! He also told me that I have another 4 month window until February in which I can lose the rest of my weight to reach goal. After that, he told me that it would become very difficult. Keep the faith, it's bound to happen soon! Aloha, Pat 261/158/goal 120-125

Oh my goodness I know what your talking about. Peel the paint off the walls bad. I had asked my doctor about this and he told me that I was probably eating foods with hidden sugars in them so I started keeping track of what I was eating and I found that anything that was high in sugar alcohol would give me bad gas. Now I pretty much know what does it and I'll avoid these foods unless I want to knock out everyone in the house. I did buy some Liguid Chlorophyll by Sunny Green at The Vitamin Shoppe its suposed to be for bad oders but it was so nasty I only took it once. Good Luck Stephanie 276/262/157/150 5' 7"
