Has anyone in their experience with WLS had the surgery throw them into perimenopause? I'm 41. I've had menopausal symptoms and been going back and forth to doctors regarding the symptoms trying to get relief. The worst of the symptoms are the constant migraines and insomnia. Any thoughts? What did you do? It took almost a month but my doctor gave me an estrogen patch and didn't run any FSH test or anything on me. I saw a gyn yesterday and she wants me off the patch for 2 weeks and then get a level. But she treated me as if I was taking her time for just migraines. I seriously doubt vaginal dryness has anything to do with headaches LOL. Please reply. Thanks. Stephanie

Mary, What a wonderful "WOW" moment! As for the "boney butt", as sore as MY tailbone feels and as many of us post-ops that complain about "sore bottoms" I think we must ALL have boney butts!! But ain't it a great problem to have??!! Vickie J.

I started a new job recently and they did not know me pre surgery. I work with one guy who is a riot. Today he yelled for me to come help witha computer problem. I said in a minute. He yelled back Pleaaaseeee now, I repeated in a minute. He said get your boney butt in here and help me! I said huh? me? boney butt? I laughed so hard. I have been called bubble but, lard a$$, fat a$$ but never did anyone refer to me as boney. I still don't see it but it made me smile all day. Wait till after my plastics then I am sure I will see the difference. Mary
