Does Plateau buster diet to get off plateau? 8. tries to keep their pouch between 3-5oz? 9. Protein, Protein Protein first and foremost... 10. NO CARBS...or little as possible... I'm slipping especially during the holidays (sweets, overeating, not exercising, alcohol & cigarettes)... I'm trying to get back on track. I've printed out the pouch rules, bought some beef jerky, and am pulling out the protein from the shelf... I need and to know I'm not the only one... ~beth~

Well...... I had surgery on Jan 25th of 2005, the st 30th days was on previcid. All went fine. Then in Late Feb I developed nausea that was 24/7 until one day in Late april I felt something difference sort of a pain in the pit of my tummy. I was up in Denver and I was positive I had an ulcer. I self medicated with Prilosec and within 3 days NIGHT and DAY difference in the way felt. I stayed on the Prilose****il Oct when I then had a gastro scoping and they found no ulcer but said things looked loosed and said I had acid reflux and put me on Nexium. As long as I am on Prilosec or Nexium I am good to go. Then I had my one year with my surgeion and we discussed my symthoms and since I will poetentially be out of the US a lot next year we decided to do a lap procedure to take a took inside. I had that surgery on Tuesday the 13th of Nov not quite a week ago. Well no ulcer was found but he did find something called a blind pocket, which was an area of the small bowel the connection to the rouex-n-y area that was keeping some food in a blind area, andtaking some time to move down the correct way and out the small bowel. I hope this is the cause of my problems. I am having a lot of bletching right now, and am worried that this did not fix the problem I had. I hope it is just gass taking a long time to come on out. Long story short.. seems like your symthoms and mine were very very similar, so it is possible it is something other than an ulcer, but in a way I hope that it is just that for you , as that can be fixed faily easy. You could try some Prilose****il your gastro procedure but it takes about 3 days to take effect. Good luck to you I hope the problem is solved ASAP. At least you are doing something quickly that is the key. I think I took too long to deal with it and had months of misery.

Have a wonderful and blessed Holiday Season Well, I'm also 5 feet tall, but seem to be stuck at 150 pounds. I hope I can reach my goal of 125 pounds by January or February. Either way, I won't complain because I started out at 261 pounds the day of surgery on January 10, 2005, so I have come a long way. I have lost 111 pounds.
