I feel as though you're reading my mind...I am up 10 pounds and freaking out. I have considered weight loss pills, a short stay at a fat farm! I'm desperate to get this weight off again. I hate that some of my clothes are tight. But, it's so hard because the food tastes good again. I refuse to let myself spiral out of control (any moreso than I already am) and have decided to try counting calories starting tomorrow. My goal is to get 20 pounds off by Christmas. UGH, it's so hard.
Topic: Hello Everyone!!
Well it has been a long time!! There has been so much that has happened in my life this last year and mostly the last 6 months. Most of you probably don't remember me but I was really active on this board up until a year or so ago. I am now in TN and I am having a hard time with my eating. I am up about 10 pounds or so and I am going to really try to get back on track. If any of you know of anyone in East TN then please let me know so that I can get together with someone else that has had WLS. I am in desperate need of some WLS support!!!!
I really hope that everyone is doing okay. From what I have seen on the boards we are all dealing with a 5-10 pound weight gain. Who ever said this was easy is so wrong!!! It is so hard to have to deal with this everyday!!
Okay let me know what you are all up to!!!!

Hi Stacy, we all feel your pain. My yo/yo has been a bit bigger. I go up and down 20 pounds unfortuantely. I can gain five pounds in a day. I think a lot is water and I am very tall. I am six feet tall. I started at 312 and currently weigh about 165. I have to remind my self when I want to beat myself up is that I still have come a long way from 312. At least you are yo/yo'ing. When you worry is when you keep going up and don't come down again. Most important thing is that you are here. Just take it one day at a time and go back to basics. Excercise is key. Take care hugz

Hi Linda, good for you. I too joined WW last year for about three months. My eating plans have since changed but I really liked it when I was doing it. You can loose the 25 pounds again. When you do please post and let us know how you are doing so you can be an inspiration to us all. hUgz
Topic: RE: HELLO, HELLO, ANYONE HOME?
aloha I am here but don't come very often. Great to see friends with the same amount of post op time as I have. Good to know I am not the only one struggling but most important thing is that I am here. Take care hugz
Topic: RE: Anyone tried NutriSystem!!!
Why hello my long lost pal Pat. It is so nice to see you on the boards. How has life been. Long time no talk. Well, I have a great suggestion for you. Have you ever "detoxed"? It is a great process. I did it last month and dropped 25 pounds(in one month) and at the same time got rid of many toxins in my system. The system I did you can still eat fruits and veggies for the first three weeks. The fourth week you are just doing shakes and vitamins. It is very intense and you need to be totally mentally prepared but so good for you. The website I did was www.ariseandshine.com but my local health food store carries all the products. The supplies will run you for a month about $125.00 plus cost of the fruits and veggies. Highly reccomend only eating organic veggies and fruits. If you decide to do it you can email me any time during the process for advice or tips. Take care Pat hugz from you buddy. Mitzi
Topic: RE: Help!!! Is it too late?
Aloha Delia, I feel your pain and this far our I am sure most of us can relate. I too have my bad binging days. I seem to do good for two/three or four days and then binge for a couple of days. I am in my good phase now. I binged the day before yesterday (badly) and did great yesterday. We all fall off the wagon but most importantly is that we pick ourselves up again and that is what you are doing now. I expressed my concern to my doctor about stretching out my tummy and he said most likely it is not stretched out to normal. The normal tummy is 32 oz. and I can eat about 8/10 ounces depending how dense the food is. I too can gain five pounds in a day. I think a lot of that is water weight. What has helped me is making myself weigh everyday. When I don't the scale creeps up. I especially make myself weigh after a night of binging to remind myself what can happen. One scarey fact, is that 25% of everyone who has the surgery gains ALL their weight back and than some. So it is just a tool but you are hear and catching it early and you can still get back on track. Just being on the boards is a huge step. You can do it and know we are all going through the same struggles. I went back to basics. I am doing all protein shakes yesterday and so far today. And since doing this I dropped the five pounds I gained binging. I will see how long I can last. Maybe a few more days until my clothes start feeling looser. Take care and hang in there kiddo. hugz
