Hernia Repair/TT surgery date!

Hello everyone, I wanted to write to say that I have a date for my hernia repair/TT. It will be on April 25 at 1pm. I am very excited and nervous. I have been battling my insurance, TRI-WEST, for months and they finally approved the hernia repair but denied the TT. So I am going to self pay for the TT so that I can have them both done at the same time. I have known several ladies that have had this same plastic surgeon and his work looks great. Okay I just wanted to share, I hope that everyone else is doing good. Take care, Becky

Becky Good luck with your surgery. I'll hold a good thought for you. I hope your recovery is uneventful. Please let me know how it goes. I keep considering plastics. However, having recently had my gallbladder romoved, I am burned out on hospitals and pain. I am really a scardy cat when it comes to pain. Take care of yourself. Dianne

Dianne, Thanks for your reply and good thoughts!! I hope the recovery isn't so bad either. My friend that just had hers done 1 1/2 weeks ago is doing really good. I hope that I am as lucky as she is. She had the same surgeon I am going to use and she also had the same procedures done, hernia repair/TT. I will let you know how it goes. I understand about being scared I am also but I have to get the hernia repaired as it is growing bigger all the time so I thought I might as well get the TT while I am already there. Hi Becky!!! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'll pray for a problem free surgery and speedy recovery. I just had TT on March 6th and also had to pay for it. I am still recovering, so all of the swelling hasn't gone down yet. But from what I can see, I'm going to end up with a pretty flat tummy. Take care and God Bless you and yours. Aloha, Pat

Pat, Thanks for the reply and your prayers!! I hope that it is as problem free as it can be. My friend just had the same procedures done with the same surgeon and she is doing great. Becky, Sorry it has been so long since we have talked! I am confused about your tt. Tricare paid for mine when they did the hernia repair. They determined all the excess skin would put strain on the hernia, and in turn could cause a reoccurance. I would give it a try. Talk to you later, Kimberly
