Any one schedule for a Tummy Tuck?

Okay ya' all this is my very first post. I've replied but never made a post myself. Like all of you I'm approaching my year anniversary. The surgeon saw me on Nov 9 and said I was a complete success but knew I had wls for ultimate results. He suggested a tummy tuck and I agreed if the insurance approved. They did! I am scheduled for surgery on Feb 17th. My fellow January folks ... what is your story? Has your surgeon talked about it to you? Are you pressing forward with one? In many ways I'm MORE scared of this than the wls. I felt like I absolutely had no choice but to save my life to get the wls but now a TT is more elective (in my case). I'm a praying woman so I have peace about it but you know wondering how my other January folks feel.

Congrats on both your first post, and your WLS success! I still need to lose 45 more lbs. before I consider PS. But, when the time comes I am so there. I want as much as my insurance will cover and I can personally afford. My tummy is not bad, but my arms, thighs & boobs are skin sacks! I am meeting my surgeon on Wednesday for my 1year check-up so I'll see what he says. I don't blame you for being scared, I have heard that the recovery from a TT is more difficult than our gbp surgery. But the results or soooo worth it. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing. Margo 334/313/205/160 ??

Hey Margo I'm seeing my surgeon on Wednesday also. I would love to have the tummy, thighs, boobs done, but I don't have the severe skin issues that others have. I doubt if my insurance will pay for any of it. But I plan to talk to my surgeon about it. BTW...you look great! Dianne

I hope you get what you want. We deserve it! My excess skin is little to none - no more than the average mom of two. I was sure the insurance company was going to deny it but they approved. More than a TT I would love a boob lift! They truly have gone south ...

As it stands today I will be having Hernia repair, belt lipectomy, bilateral mastopexy & bilateral brachioplasty on Jan 25th. Dr. Singh will do the hernia repair and Dr. King will do the plastics. Please keep me in your prayers as after all the complications I had with the gastric bypass I am hoping for a routine surgery this time. I have appointments with hemotologist, cadiologist , Dr. Singh, Dr. King & Dr. Michalek all in Jan prior to the surgery. Gonna be a busy January. My employer doesn't seem to thrilled with me taking some time off so I hope it will be smooth sailing, I didn't telll them if all goes well I want to do the thighs too. LOL Mary 133 lbs
