I am TRYING not to complain too much. Before surgery, I was wearing size 26/28 and weighted 306, now I can fit(and I use the term loosely) into size 14 and weigh 200. But now, I have not lost anything in 5 weeks! I know I am not exercising like I should, but I need something to break this plateau fast, like 2 days to a week. On a different note, I have been extremely nauseous for the last 5 days. I absolutely HATE most of the things I can normally tolerate. Any advise?

Hi Nicole: I completely understand. I was 305 also the day of surgery and wore a 26/28 and am now in a 14 and have been at 190 for almost 5 weeks. I am exercising 4 days a week plus walking almost every day and nothing. It does get very depressing after we lost weight so well in the beginning but I just wanted to say I am here for you!!!

Nicole, keep the faith, you are on a plateau, but it will keep coming off as long as you are doing exactly what you should do. I am living proof of that. I was in a 26/28 almost 11 months ago, and now I am in a size 10/11. My highest weight was 286. Just dont lose the faith. I didnt get into a size 14 until I was like 175, so if you are in one now, you are doing good. Remember, too that everyone's body type is different, so your size 14 might be someone elses size 16/18, and so on... Smile, How do you feel?? Ask yourself that question, and as long as you can answer "much better than before" you are on the right track... Plateaus are a bummer, but they are only temporary, and sometimes they can last a bit. You have to remember as well that the further you are away from your actual surgery date, the slower the wieght will come off. email me if you ever want to chat [email protected].~ Marisa Guevara RNY 1/18/05 Dr Paul Enochs, Raleigh, NC 286/170/138
