Am I the only one that is still under a 100lbs of loss? I went through that 3 month period of losing only 10lbs within 1 month of surgery out. I only lost 10lbs for the next almost 3months. I have been losing fairly well now for a while but am still under 100 by about 8lbs. Considering how far out I am and everyone else I guess I'm still slow. If I had lost right in the begining say 10lbs a mo or maybe a little less then I would be almost at goal now. But I'm not. I'm getting worried a little that I won't ever see it you know like when you see those comercials and see someone you wished you looked like or someone thats lost but just can't see yourself ever there....just wanting to know. You are doing great and you are doing it the healthy way! Also at my PS consult he told me that if I would have lost it slower that my skin would come backe better so that is another advantage of taking your time. It will come off before you know it!! Keep up the good work! Becki

Hi Marti!!! Don't worry you are doing just great!!!! I had lap rny on January 10, 2005 and started out at 261 pounds. I am also 5 feet tall, so my goal is 120-125 pounds. Although, my surgeon says when I reach 140 pounds that would be fine. But I want to stick to my personal goal weight. I currently weigh 152 pounds and also have not lost much recently. Last month I only lost 6 pounds. We just need to keep thinking positively, and I also agree that if the weight doesn't come off too quickly that our skin will have a better elasticity. My surgeon also told me that taller people have a higher metabolism, and short people have a lower metabolism so we tend not to lose as quickly. Who knew? I'm sure that we will reach our goal when the time is right. Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Holiday Season. Aloha, Pat 261/152/goal 120-125

Hi Marti, I have not lost 100 lbs. I have lost only 87 pounds since my surgery date on 1/3/05. I am very pleased with my weight loss. My skin is not sagging on my stomach or legs. I realized that my weight loss was not a race or competition with others. Congrads on your weight loss. Remember this is a 16 to 18 month weight loss process. I look forward to the summer when all the weight will be off. January 2005-wearing a size 24 December 2005-wearing a size 10 Best wishes, Tammie G.
