Hello everyone. About a month ago I was reading about the plateau breaker. I think I'm going to give this a try. I would like to know who has tried this plateau breaker and if you used any spices on your meats or if you ate them without. I would like to have flavor to my food but I also want it to work. I know it says if its not on the list you can't have it so it sounds like salt, pepper, and other spices are out. Please let me know what worked for you? I would like to lose 7 to 9 lb. in the next 13 days if possible. I seem to bounce up and down with 3 pounds and just want to see things move again. Below is the plateau breaker I'm talking about. Hi Stephanie! I'm not sure if you would call this a plateau breaker. You and I share the same surgery date, January 10, 2005. My diet up to now has basically been what you listed and I have reached a terrible plateau. My surgeon told me that I have approximately 4 more months to lose. I need to lose 30 more pounds. I started out on the day of surgery at 261 pounds and am currently stuck at 158 pounds. I'm only 5 feet tall so my goal is 120-125 pounds. Congratulations you have done awesome and you also look terrific!! I saw your before and after pictures. Right now I have joined the 24 Hour Fitness in hopes of losing the last 30 pounds. I sure hope it works. After coming this far, I would be so disappointed if I don't reach my goal. My doctor told me that after 12-13 months it becomes even harder. He strongly encouraged me to do some harder training. Previously I was on the treadmill almost everyday for 1 hour +. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy about losing the 103 pounds so far, but I still want to reach my goal. Sorry that I'm rambling on so much about myself. I know that you will reach your goal! I guess the last 7-9 pounds will just take a little longer. Sometimes I wonder if I'm taking in enough calories. I normally get about 500-600 per day. I take a protein shake and get 65 gms. of protein per day in addition to my vitamins, B-12, iron, calcium and biotin. My daily diet consists of: Breakfast - Protein shake Lunch - 3-4 oz. of fish or chicken and some veggies Dinner - same as lunch My doctor also does not allow any snacks. I drink 130-140 oz. of water. I'm cheering you on and am sure that you'll reach your goal by your first anniversary. Take care and have a great week!!! Aloha, Pat 261/158/120-125

Pat, Thank you for your reply. You are doing awesome also. I have to say I eat a lot more then you do. I think that maybe I'll try to cut down on what I eat. I know I'm eating healthy but I get in a good 1200 calories a day. I only work out 3 X's a week, maybe I'll try to up that some. Keep up the good work and we'll reach our goals together. I did this plateau breaker about a month ago and I lost 5 pound in the ten days. I followed it exactly, but I did add some salt and pepper and low sodium spices to the food otherwise yuck! Good luck and keep us posted! Jamie LAP RNY 1/21/05 -120 lbs. 253/133/130
