How much do you move?
We belong to the Y, and I try to make it there 3-4 times a week. My routine consists of 35 minutes on the cross trainer, and 30 to 40 minutes of strength training. I lose more weight when I exercise 5 x per week, but it is so tough. I love the cross trainer cuz I get the most bang for my buck...I burn about 400 calories in 35 minutes. I definately move more now then before.
I'm ashamed to say that I"ve been letting the surgery do all the work except I've been doing sit ups 3-4 times a week (80 of them each time with my ab roller). I know the weight loss has significantly slowed down and it's time to get the most of the tool that has been given me and do my part by doing some more.
Typically this is what I do:
Mon, Wed, Fri - 20 min practicing TaeKwonDo (TKD), 20 min on the elliptical, 30 min on the weights with a trainer
Tues, Thursday, Saturday- 45 minutes on the elliptical or the treadmill, 20 min practicing TKD, and later in the evening I do a 1 hour TKD class.
Ocassionally I will substitute some other cardio activity on my cardio days like paintball, hiking, roadmarching, etc....
