Well it has been so slow going here. My weight seems to be at a stall. I hover the 139-141 mark and can't seem to get the scale moving again. I get on the scale every week and have not seen any changes and wonder if I could be done. I really wanted to get to 120 but I am afraid I will never see that. (only 5 2) I am so frustrated. Just needed to vent a bit. Thanks for listening. Mary

Mary - I have been in the same stall. It is really getting old, and I know how you feel. I am a little over 5'3" and at 150. I am thankful for the 110 pounds gone, but would like more. I guess I need to get back to the rec center more and see if I can jump start this again. I have tried upping my protein and water too, but nothing seems to make a dent! Hang in there! Maybe we will both start up again soon! Cheri

Hi Mary! I am in the same situation as you. I had lap rny on January 10, 2005 and have lost 99-1/2 pounds so far. I started out at 261 and am currently at 162. I am only 5 feet tall, so my original goal was 110 pounds. Now because of my frustration, I'm thinking that if I reach 120-125 pounds, maybe I should just be satisfied. My doctor also told me he thinks that would still be great. I have also tried increasing my protein intake without any success. Since we all had surgery in January, 2005, maybe at this point this is not unusual, but I am still frustrated. Well, let's just try to think positive and support each other. Thank you for being there!! Have a wonderful week! Aloha, Pat 261/162/goal 120-125?

Oh I hope I'm not done ... but it has slowed down so much that it does worry me abit. I'm still loosing so I'm good. I what I wonder is ... doc says I should be at my goal weight the first 12 months since I only had 100 to loose. I've lost 78 thus far. I read that the surgery has a solid success rate of 77% - so, I've reached that point YEAH!!!!!!!!! but I would really like to get the 100 off. So, I'm thinking okay........ I have 2 1/2 month for my year anniversary ... can it be done??? 22lbs more??? in 11 weeks? I don't think so. I've been MAYBE sometimes loosing 1lb a week .... suggestions?? I'm open for some. I know it's not all about the number and be thankful for what've lost so far blah blah YES I feel better, look better but HEY I want FULL success. And Yes I know that full weight loss is 12-18 months but I understand I had a goal ... I would like to do what I can to get there in the 12 months.

Mary, you are not alone girl! I am barely averaging a 2 pound loss each month. All I do is loose some one week and then bounce up and down 3 pounds for the next month. So it has taken me a lot of soul searching to be fine with my current weight. It was hard but I finally accepted that I will be around this weight unless I get some PS help. So I am ok with that, especially since my health is so much better. I honestly wish I just looked better in my clothes. I hate having to wear a compression garment every single day, I am too young for this! So I desperatly want my extra skin removed. Unfortunatly, that is far away from what I can afford at this point. My best advice, is to keep the faith girl and try to journal it out, that is the only thing that worked for me... I just journaled my thoughts and worked it out on paper, it was the only way I could make since of the jumble of emotions that I was feeling. KWIM?
