Help! Gall Bladder! SOS!

I was having pains in my side like i was running a race and then naseau. My doctor examed me and everything pointed to gall bladder stones so she told me that I should be prepared for surgery in the next two days. I had the ultra sound and then I got the report today and she stated that everything is fine on the ultra sound. She wants me to follow up with my Gastric doctor. She called me back in five minutes and stated that she consulted with another doctor in her office and then they made the determination that I need an endoscopy because I may have sludge. What the heck is sludge. Please share with me your experience and point of view. I will see a doctor but want more clarification. Huggsss

I have sludge in my gallbladder. It isn't filtering properly so sediment is building up in it. I still haven't needed surgery. Went to a larger ursodial pill instead. I am still having problems, but I am not in pain. A surgeon will tell you that with sludge, the gallbladder should be removed. A gastroenterologist will try meds first. Good luck Dianne

Hi Stacy! I was just wandering if you have been taking Actigall after your WLS for your Gall bladder? My doctor wants me to take it at least another couple of months. Aloha, Pat

Hi pat, only took actigall for a month. Decided on my own that I had too many pills to take. That wasnt very smart of me. Unsure of what this sludge is and what they can do for me. Makes eating very uncomfortable. Huggss stacy
