Menu almost 9 months out!
Hey all, Hows the menu, now that we are almost 9 months out? I have lost 115 lbs so far. I tolerate almost everything, well.. within reason, I do not eat sugars, haven't even tried. Heres my typical day, let me know what you think...
B- 5:30 am Atkins Protein bar
S: Champion Pure Whey shake
L: 1/2 egg salad sand. on whole grain (sometimes tuna instead). Scoop of cottage cheese
S: another shake
D: hamburger pattie, 6 brussel sprouts
sometimes a little cottage cheese before bed, or handful of nuts.
I drink alot... 70 to 100 ozs a day. Walk, walk walk....

That is a better menu than mine, here is a typical day for me.
B - Oatmeal or a piece of fruit
S - piece of fruit or small portion of goldfish
L - Sandwich or soup depending on the day.
S - Beef Jerky or Fruit, sometimes goldfish
D - Usually chicken, corn, and a side dish but a small amount
S - Usually this is a bad snack, sometimes I have baked chips, or some fruit.
You are eating alot healthier than I am, and I cannot do those shakes. I need to start doing bars but things are tight around here right now and I can't really afford to go get them.

Hi! I actually am 9 months out as of October 10th.
Here's my typical menu everyday:
My surgeon does not allow any snacks, and I do not do any sugars, or carbs such as rice, potato, pasta, bread, etc.
Breakfast - protein shake
Lunch - 3-4 oz. of chicken or fish, some type of vegetable (cooked
or a salad made of baby greens with balsamic vinegar
dressing.
Dinner - Same as lunch
I also drink between 120-130 oz. of water.
I also do the treadmill for 1 hour at least 3-4 days a week.
Aloha, Pat

Hey,
Your menu sounds right on to me. I was 9 months out on the 12th and here is my typical menu:
7 am Unjury protein shake after treadmill workout
8:30 Cottage cheese w/pinapple
Noon 8-10 oz of protein and veggies (turkey, chicken, pork)
3 pm Unjury protein shake
7 pm 8-10 oz of protein and veggies (similiar to lunch)
I do not snack or eat carbs like bread, pasta, rice, etc., and never drink when I eat. My water intake is about 100 - 120oz per day.
As of today I have lost 143lbs since 1/12/05 and 160lbs from my highest weight. It is amazing what a difference this surgery has made in my life. This weekend I actually bought a pair of size 13 junior pants (this is from a size 28W only 9 months ago). I am so pleased with my progress and now am actively researching plastic surgery for next spring.
Keep up the good work.
