WOW I have missed so much. I have been so busy and so crazy that I haven't been here is ages have thought of you often and missed all of you. I just had a really quick look through and there are so many new faces and so many changed faces. Seems that most of you are doing just great. I haven't been here because I have been so busy, I am working and going to school full time now. Going for my EMT hope to be a dispactcher with the county by the first of the year. Something that I would never have even dreamed of trying a year ago. You have to work with the rescue squad 1 day a week and would never have been able to do the the work, running or lifting. Now I love it. The biggest thing that I have been doing is getting ready for my daughters wedding. She got married on 10/01/2005. It was wonderful we had over 250 guest and people came from 5 states to see this little girl married. I know she is my little girl but she was beautiful. We had a blast and partied till the wee hoours of the morning. They are in Orlando and Key West for there honeymoon. Now I just have to reclaim my house now that everyone is gone. It felt wonderful to be able to be doings for her and enjoy picking out a dress for the wedding and even dancing at the wedding. I relized at the end of the day that I hadn't eaten and didn't even miss it, food for me was my last thought. Oh guess I should tell you a few of my stats. Lets see I go to the gym 4 days a week miss it for no reason, I work out for about 2 hours. I walk 3 days a week couldn't walk a few block when I started now I do no less than 2 miles most days it is 5. and love every minute of it and thank God on every walk that I am able. I started out waring a very tight 38 and the dress I wore to the wedding was a lose 22. I was on 9 meds and am now on only 1. When I started looking into WLS I weighted +450lbs day of surgery I weighted 386lbs today I weight 270lbs I just can't believe how my life has changed. I still have my bad days when I wonder if it will last or if I will ever make my goal but all in all I haven't been this happy in years. I want to thank you all for being there for me through those tuff times at the beginning, listening to me and giving me a swift kick when I needed it, mostly just understanding. THANKS AGAIN. peggy 01/31/05.....386/270/200

Peggy - You sound like you are doing fabulous! I have been thinking of going back to school as soon as things slow down a little. I am mostly impressed by your physical energy levels! I have been happy most days just trying to keep up with my kids (10 & 16). I am a cub scout leader for my 10 year old and I have really enjoyed being able to do things with them since WLS. HUGE difference! Good to hear from you on the board again. Have a great day. Cheri

Welcome back surgery-date buddy!! Sounds like you're doing wonderful. Isn't it amazing how much we can physically do now compared to our lives as a preop? I know what you mean about being busy.....I travel a lot for work and sometimes go awhile before I can come back and check in to see how folks are doing. Keep up the good work and stop by every now and again to let us know how you're doing! Mary Ellen 280/170/160
