Today I really messed up, I had a roll and did not work out. I never eat bread, but I was craving it so bad. And I was to tired to work out. I often feel like I do all the wrong things, I really feel like that today. Jenn

Jennifer, I don't feel as if you were bad. I eat bread often and my doc said that is fine. I just don't eat it all the time. Don't worry, Becky P.

Don't fret, I eat toast every morning, and I have lost 130 lbs. Keep up the working out, and take it easy! Kimberly

I am glad to hear that. I have felt like bread was a no no for months now. I do not need to eat it often, but if I have it once in awhile maybe I will not crave it badly. Jenn

Jenn, You were not bad!! Although I know I'm a carb junkie, my surgeon & nutritonist tell me we need some carbs in our diets and that bread, potatoes & pasta are not forbidden foods, just limited foods. I eat cheese toast for breakfast a couple of times a week, 1/2 sandwich for lunch occasionally and potatoes as part of a meal several times a week. However, I limit the quantity and type of carbs I eat. I choose "skinny" wheat bread (40 cal. per slice), wheat hamburger or hot dog buns (only eat 1/2 or less) and try to use new white or red potatoes b/c they have less startch than russet potatoes. Of course, I also limit the quantity. But I have found that if I'm eating away from home and I'm craving bread, just a bite or 2 of "real" bread (yeast rolls are my favs) satisfy me without causing me to eat too many carbs/calories for the day. So don't feel guilty or bad. Chose your occasional "treats" with care and limit your portions and you'll be fine! Vickie J.

I eat bread sometimes too. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I always use my multi grain bread though. and of course my sugar free jelly!! I think you are fine though. I would not worry about it. Suzanne
