Blood Work Results

I am waiting for a call from Dr. Lin regarding my blood work. MY PCP called to say that my liver enzymes were slightly elevated and she wanted to discuss this with Dr. Lin??? I don't know what that means, but it concerns me. Never had any problems with my liver before and someone told me if there is nothing wrong with your liver then the surgeon should not have done a biopsy because sometimes that causes a problem.

Do you take medicine for high cholesterol? I have taken Lipitor for years and just recently, my liver enzymes were abnormal so my doc discontinued the medicine but my cholesterol lab results were within normal limits anyway since my surgery. So now he has to monitor those results closer but with the discontinuing of the medicine, he expects the liver blood tests should normalize. Anyway, just wanted you to know that some meds can cause liver problems as a side effect. Good luck. Lynne

i had the same thing... the liver dr said that it was due to "gallbladder sludge"? or from the weight loss... actually i need to get mine retested... good luck
