I just have to share with you all how lucky and grateful I am for my family! My wonderful husband of 20 years is my biggest cheerleader. He had a motorcycle accident in November and broke his pelvis in a few spots, so was off work still in January when I had my surgery -- you know that man slept on the windowseat for 2 weeks straight while I was "inside". I went home for one night and then was readmitted for another week and a half, most of the time in ICU (no beds on med/surg floor) and there wasn't a sleeping area for him any longer... just makes me tear up with love that he made that sacrafice for me. Anyway, long story short The other night DH and I went to one of our favorite night spots to listen to the blues, dine, and dance. He tells me the next day, "you know, honey, you were NOT the biggest woman in the place, in fact, you were one of the smallest" -- Glory be -- made me cry... then last night I was looking way up at our #4 child (6'1") and I told him I couldn't get over how big he was and he said... "No, Mom, you're just getting so little"... awwwwww... made me get all teary-eyed -- I'm such a boober How's your WLS support at home? Good... bad... Share your stories here! ((((skinny hugs)))) wendyb -99, one more to go to get both feet into the CC!

Wendy that is so awesome that your family is so supportive. I have been blessed with a great family like that too. My DH has been wonderful through the process and has agreed that there is no sugar allowed in house anymore. He has been trying to lose weight too. My Mom has been a huge cheerleader though. I made a little book to carry in my purse just recently to take to our family reunion and my Mom was begging me to take it to work. She just gloats at work about how great I look etc. She is really proud of me and shares the story with everyone that she can. She also tells me all the time about how skinny I look. And compliments me on my clothing choices she says because it makes me look even skinnier. My DH knows I want to hit my goal before the end of the year and he just cheers for me with every pound that I lose. He is confident that I can hit that goal although I am second guessing it. My inlaws are a different story. I tell them of my progress but they never fish for information. I think alot of that has to do with jealousy. I am not the biggest one in the family now and they are realizing how unhealthy they eat. I am so glad for the people that love me the most!! Suzanne 300/182/150

Wendy, that is just awesome that your family is so wonderful. I knew that my husband supported me but I didn't realize how much until the other day. We were at my husbands company picnic and he is constantly looking around like he was searching for someone. I asked him what was wrong and he told me he was looking for some girls who work with him because they haven't seen me in years and he tells them everyweek when I weigh in how much I have lost. I can not believe that he goes to work and tells the girls he works with how much I am losing and now he wants to show me off to them. I was astounded. My kids are really great but they are little, 11 & 6 so the big accomplishment to them is that when they hug me they can clasp their hands behind my back!! I must admit that was a great feeling for me too!! My parents are wonderful supporters as my younger sister had the surgery in 2003. My whole family is/was obese so we all know the struggles too well not to be supportive of each other. Keep up the good work and I hope you reach the CC soon. Kim 286/198/150ish?
