Help My January Babies!!!!!!!
Hey yall,
Somedays I feel like I am not getting enough to eat. I eat thigns like salads, shrimp, crab. lobster, lots of fruit ie: cherries, watermelon,cantaloupe, strawberries maybe a banana once in awhile. I drink about 40 grams of protein per day and sometimes I get in a protein bar, lets not forget sugar free ice cream bars. I am doing something wrong? Is this why I getting so much gas and I tried everything. My doc nurse today told me to stay away from the veggies for a few days. Help I need help.

Hey Kate & Blondi:
I drink a lot of coffee as per my nutritionist because I was so constipated its acts like a laxative. My thing is that I am not getting full or should I try eating more dense foods. My surgeon nurse told me get phazyme and try that. Somedays I can eat and eat and then other days I just dont feel like it. I dont want to stretch my pouch out too far. Its just scary sometimes. Like I have at 256 or 257 for the past couple of weeks I am getting kind discouraged. Thanks for letting me vent

Stephanie, I'm with Kate on this. When I drink Caffeine I get terrible gas. We were on vacation the other weekend and I could not find decaf Iced tea and was tired of water so I drank caffinated, man did I have gas. I understand what you are saying about the not feeling full. I too have been feeling that way for the last couple of weeks. I eat my portion but don't actually feel full just feel like I don't want anymore food. Then other days I don't want to eat at all. I just try to watch what I eat.
As far as constipation I suffer horribly from this. I have found that if I eat 4-5 Low Fat triscuits with lite whipped cream cheese on them as my evening snack it helps. When this doesn't work I take Milk of Magnesia.
