Hernia surgery

Well went to the surgeon today, and he told me I defiantly have to have the surgery open like my gastric bypass because the hernia is about 6 inchs long. I was really down because he said they won't approve to have the loose skin removed. I had already had the surgery schedule in Germany when my husband got sick:{ Oh well, maybe I will have the money later on in my life to have it done. Does anyone know how much the adominalplasty costs? Talk to you later, Kimberly

That is total crap girl... can you go to a different surgeon? I find it hard to believe that any surgeon would not be willing to remove the extra skin "while he's in there" especially considering that even the military health insurence pays for adominalplasty!
