went shopping

My daughters best freind is getting married next week and I had to have something to were to the wedding. Shopping is not something that I do willingly, hate it would rather take wippin'. Well this time was not so bad. Was able to try clothes on and be able to get into them. Now I'm not saying that most of them looked good but they did go on. Most of what I tried on were 24/26 and I know that sounds really big to most of you but it hasn't been that long since I couldn't even fit into those. I wound up buying 2 outfits. The first was a really great buy a 4 piece set that is navy blue and white. It has pants, skirt in navy and the a white shell top with a jacket that goes over trimmed in white. The pants and skirt are a little snug but they aren't strech pants and I was able to get them on and zipped. Of ya they had a zipper something that I would never have done before. And the price 26.00 see why I just had to have it. The other was a 3 peice set that is black and white the top and pants are a large black and white flower print and the jacket that goes over is just black. I wasn't sure about the big print but my daughter said that it gave me a longer line haveing the pants and the shirt in the same pattern. She is a very honest kid she wouldn't just tell me that it looked good if it didn't. Oh almost forgot got this outfit for 30.00 Lord I can't believe that I am the wound up about shopping. It must have been fun and just think, it will get even better. I have not gone shopping yet. I have orderd a few smaller sized pants from Romann's catalog, actually got a size 16 stretch shorts on me. They fit snug but I like my pants tight. I know Romans sizes are different than other stores. I ordered a 1X top, thinking it would be too small (I started out in a 3X and am now into a 2X, but this was on sale. Boy, it is huge! Then I looked at their sizing and realized how different they were. I need to return it. A medium in their sizing would work better. Too bad this top which was a sale item no longer has any mediums. Oh well, it was fun to think I could have ordered a medium of anything! Lynne 262/207/172?
