Vitamin B low

I had my 6 month check up last week and everything is ok except my Vitamin B is low. Has anyone else had this problem? I take pre-natal vitamins, biotin, and calcium every day. Is there any food types that I can include in my meals that will help. I am scheduled to get a vitamin shot next week. My surgeon is 3 hrs. away and my primary does not offer these shots. Hence the delay. Does being tired have anything to do with the low reading??? I have not had as much energy as I experienced about 3 months ago and feel tired more often. Any input is much appreciated. Linda Lou

At my 3 month, check up my b-12 was low, and I now take a daily b-12 supplement sublingually (under the tongue). I got them at Trader Joes relatively cheap. You should be able to find them at Walmart. I haven't gotten my 6 month lab results yet to know if this has helped or not. I'll let you know after my check-up on the 18th of this month. I have read that having low b-12 can cause you to be tired. Margo

Thanks for your input. I had thought about taking the Vit B complex liquid on my own about 2 months ago but didn't. Probably should have listened to that little voice in my head. My surgeon only wants to give me the shot to get a boost then have me take the liquid/or pill form on a regular basis. At least until they check my labs again. Anyway, thanks for your input. You are doing great with the weight loss. I am a slow loser and have lost only 63 pounds since surgery and 77 since Oct 2004. My doc is satisfied so guess I should be too. Linda Lou
