Six 1/2 month check up
I had my check up yesterday. Everything is going great and I am 15lbs away from the statistics my weight would be. They were telling me according to the statistics my weight would be betwen 175 - 200lbs. I don't know where they are getting their statistics, but I am going down to 140lbs because that's where my goal weight is. They did ask me how I was losing weight so fast. I told them I walk/run 4 miles a day/5 days a week and 1 hours of weight training.
Anyway, I was kinda blown away by their expectations, but I know my goal and expectations.

You go girl! Glad you are doing so well. Typically when they are talking satistics they are referringt o percentages that patients with your type of surgery at your height tend to loose. Like RNY patients typically loose X% of their excess weight, VGB folks loose X% of their excess weight and so on...
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

Congratulations! Sounds like you're doing great!!!!!
At my 6mth appt I asked the dr. what my goal should be b/c we had never really discussed it b4. He said they shoot for you to lose 80% of the weight you need to lose to consider it a "successful surgery" so maybe that's why the dr's ## seemed high to you. He asked where I'd like to get and I said 150~I am 5'9"~he did some calculating and said I would probably make it to 150, but he thinks that once I do I won't like my body at that weight and I'll probably settle in at 160-165 and be happy. I'm like you though~I'm going for the 150!!!!!!!!!
Again, Congratulations and continued success to you!!!
