Hubby is finally home from TX!
Oh you guys, I am so happy that my husband is finally home! Talk about a relief and a stress all at once. The first thing he notices after walking into the house was how clean it was and then he proceeds to dump the contents of his car into my house. MEN! But I am now since he decided to go straight to work and put in for "leave" for a few days. Then he called up his dad and asked if it would be alright if we came for a quick visit. So basically hubby let me attend class Wed night and then in the morning he packed us all up and wisked us away to the in laws for some R&R.
I love coming here, his dad and step-mom live in Columbia,TN and it is so darn "country slow" and peaceful here! So this morning I had my yogurt and protein bar for breakfast and I sat on their sun porch knocking out another chapter of homework reading. Meanwhile hubby and the son swam in the pool for their morning swim. Then hubby made lunch for everyone (big change, usually I am cooking) and now I am catching up on my e-mail and online journals. In a bit we are heading back down to the pool for some more family fun and tonight we are doing BBQ with the in laws to celebrate their anniversary. Tomorrow we get to go out to the family farm and I get to do somethign I have done in 10+ years... I am gonna ride a horse!!! I am so excited! Anyways, we are gonna do the big country dinner out at the farm and then we will head back to the base that evening since we have folks coming over to our house on Sunday and we have to weed through all of Jim's gear and put it all away! OYE! I hate it when he deploys or is TDY for long periods of time. It takes so long to get everything in it's place. Thankfully hubby has decided that his wardrob not longer meets the same standards of mine and has vowed to go through his clothes and donate everything that he doesn't wear and he is gonna let me get rid of some of his "favorite pieces" in exchange for some new clothes! LOL! He says, I look so hot to be going out with a "scrub;" he is worried I might leave him if he still wears his comfy clothes.
Anyways, it has been nice having him home for so many reasons, but let me tell you... the never ending outpouring of comments and "looks" from him (about how good I look or feel to him) just makes me feel all giddy inside! I think he is courting me all over again. Lord knows he would have never put up with all the shopping we did the other day... but he gladly sat and watched me change clothes 100 times just to find one pair of jeans and a shirt! And then he let me play dress up with him too... he left with a new pair of jeans from a name brand store too! (I was shocked, he hates name brands.) WOW! This new body gives me a whole lease on life!
Brightest Blessings~

I know this is going to sound silly, but I lost track of someone I used to work with whose husband was stationed in Ky (Army). Just by chance, thought I would ask you if you knew a couple named Chris and Teresa? (I don't want to post last name on line). I know there must be thousands of people stationed there, but thought I would ask anyway.
Thanks
Lynne
LOL! I get asked questions like that all of the time especially when people find out that I have been here since 1995/6. Ironically sometimes I do know the folks.. in this case I am not sure. I have actually met a few "Chris & Theresa's" in my time here... common names of couples. You can always email me the last names off the boards and I could tell you for sure. If their were associated with the 160th, ever lived in Lee Village, or participated in any of the volunteer activities that I did, then I probably have met them. LOL! The first Chris & Theresa that come to my mind are nes that lived in my building when I lived at Lee Village and she was phillipino/pacific islander or something similar to that decent, and he was white.
HTH!

Surprisingly enough... not yet he has been relatively good since he hated BNCOC so much. He is on his best behavior. He even baked cookies yesterday for all of my friends! He did annoy me for a short time by dragging all of his crap into the house and leaving it all over the place, but I put a stop to that real darn quick. I had a party so he had to put it all away! LOL!
