Read what happened yesturday!!!
Okay now for what happened yesturday, July 22.
I went to meet with a friend that I hadn't seen in 6 years. We lived here in CA 6 years ago and we have been back a year. Her and I have been trying to get together for awhile now but it just never worked out. Well when she saw me she was like you haven't gained weight since I saw you last you have lost weight. You look great she said. I told her that I really changed my eating habits and I work out 5 days a week at the gym. She was like okay. Well we met for breakfast and I was nervous about eating infront of her. I don't want to tell her about the WLS. Well I ordered one egg, wheat toast and bacon. I knew I had to tell her something as to why I would be eating slow so this is what I told her. I told her that I now eat differently because I take a bite about every 5-10 min. She asked why. I told her that it was because when you eat slower you can digest it better and it also makes you feel like you are fuller faster. She was like okay but I don't really know if she bought what I said. Well what I said was somewhat true. I told her that I really try to get protein in. When we went back to her house we talked alittle while so I needed to eat something. I took out my South Beach Diet Bar. I think she might think that I am on the South Beach Diet, ha ha!!! These bars are the best!!!! I love them.
Thanks for reading my post!!!! Also my In-Laws are coming to visit today and they haven't seen me in a year. I am nervous because I don't like people looking at me and making me the center of attention. I will post how that goes later.
Take care everyone!!!

Oh Becky... I feel your fear of telling anyone about your surgery. It is definitely a personal thing that only you can decide who to tell and whom to not tell. After my first expierence of trying to withhold the truth, I gave up on it. Personally, I felt kinda like I had lied and I felt bad about that. So I did a lot of soul searching and decided that it wasn't a bad thing to admit to having help surgically. However, now I am definitly not the one to offer up the information, but I no longer lie or evade the question either. To me it was more stressful to keep up the roose than to just admit that I had had surgery. KWIM?
Anyways, about the South Beach bars... YUM!!!! The cinnamon raisin ones taste better than the oatmeal raisin cookies my dad used to bake for me! The PB one and the chocolate ones are great together. I will open a pack or each, cut them horitontally and stack one piece on top of the other flavored piece and then put them back into a ziploack snack bag. Then when I have a craving for PB & Chocolate I take out my spliced PB/Chocolate South Beach bar....LOL! And the vanilla nut and cranberry trail mix bar... YUMMMMMMYYYY!!!
Makes eating something first thing in the am so much easier. I can eat this before the gym and it does not make me sick when I exercise. I have my real breakfast food after the gym!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~
