SAGGY SKIN BLUES:-O
Malinda, I am so with you!! I tell my husband that now I have Granny boobs!! I hate my arms as well even though I know they could be worse. My son, he is 14, tells me that I have a 5 second delay when I hold up my arm and wave. He thinks he is so funny!!! My thighs are also starting to get bad. I take it in stride though because I can have this stuff fixed with plastic surgery.
So we need to all start saving now!!!!
Take care,
Becky P.
Me tooooo....
Bat wings and almost bat thighs.......
I can grab a 'handful' off the back of my thigh when I am sitting.
I can grab my 'apron' and practically fold it up on itself.
Chin is a little crepey, but heredity is going to get me on that one. My mother, aunt and Grandma are ALL crepey-chinned.
I too dream of plastic surgery, but doubt that it is in my future.
I TRY to laugh at my baggieness.......TRY........
When I find myself NOT laughing, I try to remind myself that the 'owner' of the said baggieness is now 108 lbs lighter with perfect blood sugar, b/p etc etc......
Ohhhhh what a trade off!!!!
hugs to all
We are doing great. Can't believe it has been 6 months already!

Da-da,Da-da, Da-da,Da-da.....Batwings!!!!!!!!!!!
Kangaroo pouch, turkey neck, thighs, ..you name it!
I have noticed that parts of my body look older now that they are thinner. ARGGGHHH!!! I actually look like a 47 year old lady! When did THAT happen??????
I am up for a new job. If I get it, these are my plans:
Year 1,2,3 Laser Eye surgery, braces on top teeth, Disney W., save nest egg for house.
Year 4- Buy house.
Year 5 and 6- Save nest egg for plastic surgery.
Year 7- Neck and face lift, boob lift, arm and tummy tuck.
Year 8-???? Save for Retirement
I personally do not plan on having plastic surgery. Even if I lost the entire weight over chart weight, it would only be about 120 lbs total. I do not realistically think I even want to get to chart weight. At my age, somewhere about 160-170 would be nice and I just feel I am too old (58) and have gone through too much to worry about my sags, and believe me, I have them. My arms are probaby the worst. I also have that "thin" wrinkly skin look in the back of my thighs, like my old grandma used to have. I may be a Nana, but sure don't feel I'm old enough to look like this. But, I feel so much better, who cares?
Anyway, the reason I am posting this is that at my local support meeting, the leader has had many "reconstructve surgeries" and says there are ways to get your insurance to pay for it if you document, document, document all the problems the excess skin causes. She has sample letters on her local website for appeals, etc. She has helped many get the surgeries approved. If anyone is interested, her website is:

I think you look under files. Hope this may help anyone who wants to have the surgery but thinks their insurance won't pay. We have mostly HMO's in our area and most of them finally approve the surgery although you may have to go through alot to get it approved.
