No More Sleep Apnea!
I just had to post some wonderful news. I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea a few months prior to my surgery in January. I had no idea how dangerous Sleep Apnea actually was until that point and of course I had it for years. I was told by the doctor I had one of the worst cases he had ever seen in someone as young as I am. Well I went for another sleep study last week and guess what. I no longer have Sleep Apnea. Among all the other joys of losing 94 lbs in 6 months, this surgery has also saved my life in another way. Have a wonderful day!
Hi Lisa,
That is great news! I have never been diagnosed with sleep apnea but I was at one point 330 lbs. and everyone who slept anywhere near me said that I had it. I weigh in at 230 lbs. today and I deffinatly sleep better and don't wake myself up at night any more. I will be sharing a hotel room next weekend and I will find out how bad my snoring is !
Isn't this surgery the best thing you have ever done for yourself?
I am so much happier than before I just can't get over it!!!!
Love and Peace

Oh, that's WONDERFUL news!!!! When I was in ICU, the nurse kept coming and and telling me to remember to breathe... ya, right... then asked if I had sleep apnea -- which I'd never been Dx'd with, but guess it stands to reason being over 300 on a 5'1" frame... I finally just asked her to put O2 on, so my sats wouldn't fall and the alarm would stop ringing -- DUH!
I'm sooooooo happy for you, My Friend!!!!!
