I STILL feel like a slow loser... I don't think I'll ever be satisfied until I hit that MINUS 200 lbs mark...
So, what's everyone weigh now?
I did this on the main board, but love to do it here more because we are all so close together.........
Also, how much are you eating now a days? Since my gallbladder surgery I can EASILY eat 4oz now....even meat.....that scares me to death ::::shudders:::::
I feel as if my pouch has stretched...

I'm down 109 and am at my surgeon's goal. I am having gallbladder problems, so I still can't eat much. Going in for the hepatabiliary(sp) exam next week. We'll see what happens.
I'm still not eating much, but I suspect that will change soon. Fish is the worst for me and I really love it. Meat isn't easy either.

I just had gallbladder surgery a week ago Tuesday and I'm doing A MILLION TIMES BETTER
Read my profile...I suffered similar symptoms. Everyone swore it was a stricture too (dr's and nurses) by my symptoms (not being able to swallow/gag reflex/spitting syndrome) but it was my gb all along....
I feel SO GOOD and eating is like new again!

I am down 81 lbs and can eat just about anything! Maybe that is not such a good thing! I will be 6 months out on the 27th of this month. Sure would be nice to hit 100 mark but I'm happy anyway. I stepped up the exercise a little just to see what happens. I will be excited when I get in the 100's even if it's 199.

I think I am still losing, I weigh every 2-3 weeks, so i may have a week or 2 that I don't lose, and not know it. Last time I 'only' lost 5 pounds in 12 days. I think that is a very acceptable rate. The inches are still dropping.
Depends on what I am eating as to how much I can get down. And even that varies day to day. I have days where food is repulsive, and days where if it isn't nailed down, it is alllll mine......
My surgeon has my goal wt at 155. I honestly think that is too thin, even though that gives me a 'normal' BMI. I have seen my sister at 165 and she looked deathly ill (we are built similar). We come from a family of 'stout' women. 'Big boned' (NOT fat) and tall.
Anyhooo.....I will be happy at 199. I want to break the 200 mark.
I sometimes think they, (dr's), focus on weight as if it is the only 'number' that matters. What about my now normal blood sugar, blood pressure and lipid levels??
I digress......

And you are right about the closeness on the Jan board. I have posted a few replies on the main board, but it seems like the same few posters. Don't get me wrong, I have learned a lot from it. Our Iowa board used to be close, but seems the last month or so, the posting has been super slow. People busy with 'summer' activities, I hope.

I have lost 71.5 lbs. My weight loss has definately slowed down. I only lost 7 lbs last month, and only 3.5 so far this month. I sometimes feel like I eat too much. I can eat most anything, and that is scary because I don't always make the best choices. I have been tracking my food in fit day, and I usually eat between 900 and 1000 calories a day that includes at least 80 grams of protein. So I think I am doing the right thing. I exercise regulary (4 to 5 times a week). I was hoping to lose 100 lbs by 6 mos., but now I will be happy is I hit -80 by 7/18. I feel great, and I love fitting in a size 20 it sure beats a 28-30!

Hello again Beth--- I am doing pretty good but like you I fear that I have stretched my pouch too fast or someting. I can actually eat "normal sized" meals most of the time. Usually 3 oz of meat and some veggies and some starch. In total about 2/3 a cup usually. Like I have no problem eating 1/2 cup of yogurt or cottage cheese with half a piece of fruit. Which is what normal people should be eating. So yes, I am getting scared and I really want to get into some kind of counseling to deal with my food issues. My support group is taking a break for the summer so other than you guys I have no one to talk to about it or get ideas about how to beat these demons.
I am still exercising almost daily although I fell off the bandwagon this week. It is really hard for me to get everything done during the day since I have DJ all of the time and hubby is not home to give me a break. I wish there were some more sitters in the area but there really isn't any. UGH!
Anyways, I am down 88 pounds and I am still feeling great. I am getting ready to head back to school for my LAST TERM! Woo-hoo! There is still so much that I wanted to get done (classwise) before I graduated but with our impending move I am out of time! So off I go...
