going to vegas.......
No problem. Avoid the big fancy strip casinos and head for the off the beaten path places. It ain't goumet, but it is cheaper and sometimes pretty good. The Golden Gate Deli has a 99 cent shrimp ****tail that makes a good meal. They also have sandwiches for about $4.00. The Golden Spike Casino has a 24 hr. restaurant which has a complete roast beef dinner for $4.50, dessert too (give that to a friend). The breakfast is only $1.99 before 10:30 AM. Their potato salad is only .60 cents.
California has a coffee shop that serves a prime rib dinner with all the trimmings and cherries jubilee for dessert (lucky friend again) for only
$ 6.00. And unlike buffets, you can doggie bag it and eat the rest later!
El Cortez has a 24 hr. coffee shop with a decent breakfast and a nice 8 oz. Ribeye for lunch or dinner at $5.00.
Also, hang out around the Mirage casino in the afternoon (late) or wee hours of the morning (3 or 4 AM) and they give you free sandwiches the size of a white castle (but tastier). Also, I hear if you sit and gamble at a table long enough, they will comp your food. Just pick a low stakes table! Go online and type in "cheap eats vegas". There are some good ideas, even free food. Vegas on $.25 a day!!
Good Trip!
Go to food network and click on $40 a day and look for the episode they did on Vegas... Rachel Ray came up with some pretty great places to eat for CHEAP!!!
I have never been to vegas... would love to go after I finish paying off my PS.....LOL!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~
