Does anyone think they have streched out there stomach?
Sure. Most of us! LOL! I can't eat hamburger meat, chicken, or anything tough or dry yet. I can eat fish, and even pasta or a little rice. With certain foods I can eat, and eat, and eat. But I still lose weight. YAY!
I eat crackers with soft spreadable or squirt cheese, popcorn, peanuts, tomatoes, edamame, green beans, salads, sashimi, spaghetti, yogurt, cottage cheese, peaches, mandarin oranges, string cheese, chili, peanut butter, hard shell tacos, shrimp, beans, sugar free popsicles, lemonade, and my protein drinks. I drink a lot of water and milk. I love soups!
I know my stomach has stretched, because the Doctor told me it would. But I still can't eat more than a cup full of spaghetti, and I used to eat three platefuls before WLS. So what if I eat a half a jar of peanuts or half a bag of popcorn? My tummy says stop or I'll hurt you, so I stop!
Never did that before the WLS.
Don't worry. If you are following the rules; water, protein, exercise, you will be fine.
How much have you lost?
In all honesty, this is VERY hard for me to confess, but yes, I obsess about stretching my pouch prematurely EVERY minute OF EVERY DAY... I can't help it. I've gone from counting cals/fat/carbs/protein to OMG I can eat 3 oz now...
basically, today, I tested myself and I can't get down 3.5oz of anything dense, but i can get down about 6-7oz of soup, yogurt, pudding. I can't eat more than an ounce of cheese at a time. I'm beginning to experience gagging/spitting syndrome EVEN MORE now that I'm 5mos post op than I did 3wks post op.
Today I've had:
B-about 2-3oz of spaghetti w/meat sauce(about 2-3strands of noodle, and the rest meat sauce) made me about and the sugar wasn't that high
L-s/f pudding 5oz
D-2 bites of a turkey sandwich, kept chewing and chewing and COULD NOT SWALLOW because I started gagging and had to spit it all out. So, my dinner was yes, another pudding.
I've had over 60oz of water so far...
but I fear DAILY that I'm "broken" so yes, it's common.

Yeah, I am the same as everyone else. Really dense foods, I can only eat about 2-3 oz. However if it is really light like soups, yogurt, cottage cheese, stuff like that I can eat over 1/2 of a cup, closer to 3/4 of a cup! It scares me sometimes so I make sure to measure out my food and CHEW-CHEW-CHEW!
