I am wondering what everyone out there is taking in the way of iron supplements. My doctor wants me to take multi vitamin, calcium citrate, iron, and sublingual iron. I have gone to a B12 shot now instead of the sublingual to save money. The Bariatric Advantage iron pills are pricey too, and I was hoping to find something cheaper. Any suggestions???? Thanks Dianne

We have a Vitamin Shoppe here and I bought my iron there. It was only 5.58 a bottle. It has Iron, Vit c and b12, too. You can also try a discount store. They usually have vitamins there too. One other thing is to try the house brand versus a name brand. Usually it is the same contents but cheaper because they aren't paying for the advertising, ie ibruprofen vs advil. Maybe you could ask a pharmacist at your local drug store. Good luck. Linda

I take amino-iron supplement (one a day) plus two prenatal vitamins a day, B-12 shot once a month, and potassium. I get the amino-iron from my Dr. office. you can order online at www.medabolix.com The bottle has a 100 tablets for $8.00. I can not take the calcium supplement. They made me sick. I try to get my calcium by drinking 4 glasses of milk a day. Doing okay as long as I can tolerate it.
