Baby's foot turning in
Linda, my three year old, has a touch of cerebral palsy. The CP is hardly noticable but, lately, her right leg is turning inward so severely that it trips her when she walks. I showed this to the doc about 6 months ago, but he said not to worry because it was normal for her age and that it would clear up as she got older. It has not. It is worse. My husband and I are taking her back tonight for a consultation. Maybe he will listen to BOTH of us!
Even my mom noticed it.
Yeah my son's doc did the same crap to me when my son was pigeon toed. He was like, that is typical---blah blah, he will grow out of it. I was like, his dad is 30 and has not grown out of his yet! I took him to three other docs and got the same song and dance... now at 7 years old he is still pigeon toed, although not as bad since I forced him to wear his shoes on the wrong feet for 2 years! Good Luck at the docs, she will be in my thoughts!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

Dont Listen to the doctor... My son's doctor told me that about his foot at birth, and it ended up being ClubFoot.. General Dr.'s bless there hearts but they dont know everything. I would suggest Visiting http//:www.shrinerschildrenshospital.com they are located around the US and they provide free services to children. If it werent for them, my son Now two .. would not be able to walk, I believe they also take care of cerebral palsy. Please if anything, just go to the site and read about them. I promise you wont be disappointed!!! Good Luck and if you need to talk anytime... [email protected]
You have every right to take your child to see a specialist (assuming the doctor you mentioned is a pediatrician/family doctor and not a specialist). I would get an opinion from a CP specialist and from an orthopedics specialist. If your insurance does not allow for this, at least get a 2nd opinion from another pediatritian/family doctor. One of my children was born with one foot that was moderately turned inward and one that was mildly turned in, and started wearing special shoes as a young baby until he was about 1 year old. They basically looked like the shoes were on backward, but were prescription shoes that I bought at Stride Rite. This was on the pediatrician's recommendation. The navy's pediatrician did not recommend anything to be done, but this civilian pediatrician (who delivered my baby) disagreed. My son's feet have been fine since then.
I know it is not exactly the same problem, but I only mentioned this to point out that you can get a 2nd opinion and a specialist is definitely something to consider in you child's case. Good luck.
