Happy!
Pre-Op: 373 lbs
Lost: 86 lbs Approaching 90!
Now: 287 lbs I haven't been this weight since I was 15-16 yrs old, 7 yrs ago! I have never been this weight as an adult!
Even though I still have a long way to go every day at this loss is amazing. Physically and emotionally.
Physically I can now sit on the floor comfortably without my legs falling asleep or pick something up when I drop it, I can sit on top of a desk at work and gab over the cubicles without fear, I can cross my legs, I can move so much more!
Emotionally sometimes I still get a little surprised when I pass a mirror in the hall BUT I really am getting used to it. Yesterday was my first day at my new position at work (I was in charge of 6 newbies who had never been on the floor before - they are so cute when they're scared, lol) and I shined like a star. I have so much more confidence now - not that I didn't have any before but it is just so much easier to show it now. I have always been bubbly, friendly, and happy but now it is just so much more, lol. I guess what I am trying to say is that now I an acting like I have always been with my friends with people I am just meeting and making friends a lot faster. Anyone else notice changes or just more to there public personality?

Jenny -
Congrats! I went in to the doctor today for a blood pressure check and found that I am down 85 pounds. I too take a second look when I pass a window or mirror. It is kind of startling at first, but maybe I will get used to it.
Do you have days that you still feel as if you are still that old person waiting to get out? I do. Then, I will go and try something on in my closet and it now falls off, and I feel pretty good. I have had some of the same experience at work. I recently got a new job and I feel more confident and more energetic. It is great!
Take care,
Cheri
