I won my appeal!

The insurance had denied the surgical fees for my surgery, but I wasn't going to let that stop me, right?!? So I had six months to appeal. I wrote a nice letter last month and attached all kinds of documents to the appeal... well... yesterday.... I got a CHECK~!!!! They paid 80% of usual and customary charges - which was about half of what I originally paid -- I was SOOOOOOOOo excited -- as I really didn't think they would come through, but they sure did!!! Woooooohoooooie!

Wendy, That is great! I was very lucky... I had open surgery and my insurance covered all except $490.00! Thank God! Jen

Nice your insurance company finally came through. My insurance just paid my surgeons fees too! Phew - $4500.00 I thought was coming out of my pocket.
