She's getting married!

So my darling step-daughter of 21 years, announced her engagement to her yummy fireman boyfriend last week. We are now full blown into the throws of wedding plans and are having a BLAST. Found the gown on Sunday and she looked just like a princess with that twinkle of love in her eyes. They are planning on an early October wedding, as she'd like it outdoors/gardenish... WHOA -- that is only 4 months... but hey, better than 5 or 6 weeks which is what one of the boys did and another friend -- so 4 months seems like an eternity to me this time around I've been looking at MOB (mother of the bride) couture and have found some absolutely lovely dresses online, but since I'm starting to lose at a nice pace (FINALLY -- I guess exercise does help ), won't purchase anything until a couple of weeks beforehand... Now, my question is... what size will I be in four months, figuring about -50, which would put me in the 180s (WOWZERS -- 180s, hard to even imagine)... a 10-12 maybe? I'm pretty dang short and losing height with every pound , only coming in at 5'1" now... I'd really like to find something at a consignment store or thrift store, if ya know what I mean... cuz, being married to her daddy, means flipping quite a bit of the wedding bill, and I'd like to save every little bit whenever possible. And... because of this new tool I have been given, I'll be able to shop those kinda stores -- YIPPPPPEEEEEEE... The perks never seem to stop -- I love it! Wendy, Congrats to being the MOB. I got engaged in April - Planning a May 2006 wedding in Jamaica. We just purchased a house and the fact that I was married before ~ we are footing the bill. I wont look at any dresses until a few months out. I am 5'2" and about 196 pounds. I wear a size 16 at the moment. Don't know if that will help you figure out your projected size. i am 4'10 and when i was at 180 i was in like a 18-16 area depending on pants or dress dress were 16 and pants were 18s i am now down to 145 and shopping in the kids department at walmart that is so awsome congrads hope the info helped debby 220/145/110? i hope

Well I am 5'4" and wearing a 12/13 in almost everything. I would suggest talking to the store where you found her dress and see if you can work out a deal that alterations will be free if you buy the wedding dress, MOB dress and any other dresses from them. That is what we did for my BF's wedding. Since we got all of our dresses from the same store, alterations were free!
