Hi there - I have read many postings on this board over the past year or so, but have never joined in until today. I think that this message board is one of the best resources and it has helped me deal with more than a few things over the past few months. I had my surgery on 1/24/05, starting out at 268. I have gone down about 75 pounds now and am feeling great. I have dropped down 10 sizes in pants and 8 in tops. I still have some difficulty with getting enough protein in daily, and I think that I have tried all of the protien shakes and bars out there. I am at the point where I can pretty much eat 4 times a day, and am still told by the surgeon to increase it to 6 times a day. I try to squeeze it in while at work, but it is hard! Any suggestions on how I can increase my meals easier? Also, I am loosing my hair in handfulls and have begun using Rogaine as well as the increasing of protien intake, but I don't have much to begin with! How long does it take to start growing back? See you on the board! Cheri Houser

Hi Cheri, I can't help you on the hair loss, I've not lost much that isn't normal... YET... But the shakes... are they high in protien? Are you having a hard time finding ones that taste good? If so check out the Vita Lady if you haven't yet... They have samples you can get this way you don't have the bulk setting there if you hate it... And then you can go back and get in bulk what you like. Try eating eggs also, if you havn't yet. Here is the Vita Lady web site: http://www.vitalady.com/ Hope this helps... Take care and good luck... PS... This is a GREAT Message Board, LOTs of great people here... PooBear

Hey PooBear - Thanks for the info. I did finally find one shake that I like from Vitamin Cottage, but I'm going to try Vita Lady and see what I can come up with. As for the eggs, I am burned out on them unfortunately, but am trying to re-introduce them again. Thanks for the support! Cheri
