Well, a good night's sleep did the trick! Thank God! I was in agony until about midnight, but tylenol PM and some localized pain killers finally helped put me out. Phew! Today I see the nose Doctor and hopefully feel better. Thursday, I weigh in with my surgeon. I can't wait!!!!!

Dear LouAnn, I have hardly been home the last week or so and am just now catching up on everything... So sorry about all the pain after your surgery and the problems with the pain meds. I am glad your pain level is somewhat better today! I worked for an ENT surgeon assisting him on procedures and postoperative care of patients for several years and understand how painful and terribly uncomfortable one is after your type of surgery. You are not alone. I believe just about everyone that goes through that surgery is just as miserable for awhile. Just try to think about how much better you will feel once the pain is gone and the positive surgery results are evident. This type of surgery usually brings so many positive results and usually ends chronic breathing problems. I sure hope you continue to improve and keep the spirits up. As far as the diet/exercise/weight loss stuff, just keep getting those liquids in and as much protein as possible. Just do what you can. The exercise can wait and you will do fine without it temporarily. It is important to focus on healing from this surgery and taking the time away from exercising that you need so you can heal as quickly as possible and then get back to focusing on your WLS goals. Just my personal opinion. Take care. SueZ

Thanks, Sue! I saw him an hour ago, and will get the splint off on Thursday. Today I am yellow and black and blue.
