Personal pain threshold?

Everyone is different about pain. Pain that leaves one person screaming may only feel slightly uncomfortable to another. So, where do you fall on the chart below? 1. Rairly bothered by any pain :-l 2. a little annoying pain sometimes 3. I feel it; but can stand it and work around it. 4. I really feel it; and can't keep my mind on other things. 5. OMG, this hurts! 6. Screaming "Knock me out!!!!!" 7. Pass out. I can ignore cramps and dental pain that floors other people. I didn't have much pain from the sinus surgery, at first either; just some sinus headches. My husband says my threshold for pain is minus 10! Well, that's because I yell when it hurts; he doesn't. He just turns purple and his veins distend. Yelling works! After I holler, I feel temporary relief. How about you guys? How do you manage pain? A Margarita? Crushing the sides of the bed with your bare hands? Throwing stuff? Cussing? (another good one for me!) Writing stupid stuff on the computer to take your mind off of the pain? What is your threshold? How do you cope? Talk to me! I need to take my mind off of the pain!!!!!!!

Well Lou Ann I guess I just sit around and suck it up. I like to cry if the pain goes on for a long time but generally tolerate pain pretty good. I didnt think the WLS was that bad. I had my pump in the hospital then took drugs for a day or two after I got home but thats it. Hope your pain gets better soon. Just do whatever works.

I've had so much pain in the last 5 years that unless I'm about to loss and orgain I just grin and bare it. Try and get some sleep honey that usually helps.
