A BIG WOW

HI GANG Happy holiday weekend..... I just wanted to share a big moment. I have had a lot of 'little' (and not so 'little') WLS WOW moments, but today I met a personal goal. My folks live on a farm, and I have always wanted to drive/operate my dads skid loader. I at one time was able to get in it, but not able to get the bar down because of my belly being in the way. (You have to have the bar down to engage the bucket) So today we (bro's & sis, impromptu gathering) were all outside and he had been using it. After he had parked it and was standing there talking, I just quietly climbed in. I didn't think there was any chance that the bar would go down. My 5 yo niece 'ratted' me out and Dad turned around and said 'drop the bar'. So I did. AND IT FIT with room to spare!!!! YEAH!!! I turned it on and took it for a spin. Got the feel of working the bucket with the foot pedals. It was great! I think my mom and dad almost cried because I have said for a long time that that was one of my goals. Haven't been on the boards much, my modem died so my access is limited. Have been fighting a chest cold that can't decide if it wants to be in my chest, my ears, or throat so exercise has been a little lax. Been a little lax on protein/calories the last couple of days. Concentrating on getting the fluids in over the sore throat. But 'tis improving. Haven't weighed for 3 weeks, usually go weekly. Down 85 lbs then. My moms scale said I was down another 11, but I don't know how it compares to the drs scale. Well, I've rambled long enough.... Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. big hugs Sheila 368/283/155????

Sheila, I am a city girl, so I don't know what the hell a skid loader is,(LOL!) but I know the joy you felt. Here are some more waves of joy...coming your way!

Hi Sheila, Congrats on reaching one of your goals.... That is also one of mine, but besides being able to fit in one I would love to learn to run one... I love working with machines. Your 85# lose is also a very big thing... Congrats on that also.... GREAT JOB.... Wish you the best... PooBear

Sheila, A big CONGRATS to you. First off 85 lbs lost is incredible and second being able to drive the skid loader must have felt fantasti****ep joking at work that I want to learn how to drive ours and some of the guys offered to teach me but I was terrified to attempt to get in for fear of not fitting. My big goal is when I get under 200 lbs I am going to sign up to be a volunteer fire fighter and go to EMT training. I can't wait until that happens. Keep up the awesome work. Kim 286/222/150ish?
