Judy, Don't worry!! Some of us are slow losers and that is okay. A friend of mine told me the other day, Slow and steady wins the race. I like that moto! I haven't lost as much as others either but I am trying real hard not to compare myself to anyone else because we are all different. This is YOUR journey not anyone else's!!! Take care, Becky P.

There is nothing wrong with you sweetie. You are following your doctor's plan and doing your best and that is all you can ask of yourself! Keep in mind that it took you years to put all that weight on, it is not going to fall off overnight even with this tool. I have to remind myself of that everyday! I am one of those people who tend to overdo thngs to the point of burn out and I finally reached that point last week. With my schedule I finally burned out and could not get to the gym to work out, I did not take care of myself, or take my vitamins.... now I am paying for that! I have gained a few pounds back and I felt like crap! So now I am playing catch up and trying to find a new balance. So take it easy girl and stop comparing yourself to others. You can do it. Find ways to get in your exercise that works for you and keep up your spirits! Judy, I'm so glad you brought this subject up! I have lost 68 pounds since my surgery on Jan 11. I actually gained 8-9 pounds while in the hospital for 24 days, but those dropped off within a couple of days of being home. I'm so glad I read your post... I have actually been avoiding coming to my favorite place (here), because I was also comparing myself to others... and I love this place and missed it and all you wonderful people, so popped in tonight! Your post and everyone's responses have lightened my load and I thank you all!!! All said above is soooooooo true -- I'm glad you went through the photos.

Judy, You are not alone..and it gets to me too....I sometimes just flat out don't believe how much some say they have lost..and I particularly get irked by people who post that they have lost 60 or 70 pounds in the same time frame or less...and look great in a bikini...telling ME I should be thrilled and grateful to have lost only 56 pounds in the same time frame etc..etc...if they were me..they'd be having a fit....the only folks I want to hear from are the ones in the same club. The rest of "the SUNSHINE CLUB" can't have a CLUE how it feels to creep and stall at a snail's pace while working one's butt off. Since we all are not supposed to compare...maybe we should not discuss the pounds lost period? ..bet THAT one would go over like a lead balloon.... I walk everyday..and was told to get an hour a day of aerobic exercise...walking is included in that. I also follow the rules. Age, metabolism...diabetes..metabolic syndrome....all play a part. Just hang in there! Hopefully slow and steady will win us our own personal races. Sher' 272/216/???

Hi Sher, Your not leaving me out because I had to be starved to death for two weeks and lost so much weight. I use to fall in your category but with the bowel strangulation surgery they would not feed me and I did finally pick up my weight loss. I know how you feel. I know in my heart that some of us are fighting the battle of a life time and just because they shrunk our stomachs doesn't mean that the metabolism was affected. We are all LOOSERS here even if some are faster than others. Some of the faster loosers are a lot younger than the rest of us and can burn more calories. I pray that everyone rejoices in their own accomplishments! God Bless us all... TAke care, Syndi

Thanks Syndi. You help put some things in perspective. I just seem top be having a hard time in my head right now..easily discouraged and skeptical. Hopefully, this too shall pass. Sher'
