WOO HOOOOOOO I FINALLY figured out why my weight loss is going soooooo sloooooooow...THREE MAJOR THINGS I was doing WRONG! Listen, I did an "experiment" on myself. Everday, I was eating at LEAST 1c of popcorn (full of salt), drinking around 30oz of caffeinated tea(with Splenda, of course), and eating wayyyyyy too many carbs (albeit good ones like bananas and strawberries, but the totals were in the 40s sometimes). SO, here's my , this is what happened. Since YESTERDAY, I've stopped taking in SO MUCH SALT(no popcorn), NO CAFFEINE WHATSOEVER (bought decaf ice tea), and MINICARB foods(only about 1/4th of a nanna, and no more strawberries)!! OVERNIGHT PEOPLE, I have lost ALMOST 2#! I am down 1.5#from YESTERDAY! I know my weight is stalled because my body is holding on to SO MUCH WATER it's unreal That is my outcome of the experiment. IMMEDIATE results to my study but hey, I'm sticking with this "plan" from now on! Thought I might share this with yall if any of you are experiencing stalls, too ~*~beth~*~ -72.5

Beth, As of now, I am off of peanuts. Too much salt. I already gave up caffeine long ago. Carbs? What carbs? I am doing good to get the d#*n protein in me!! BTW, I saw your new picture and I would like to say OMG!!!!!!! WOW!!!Vogue Magazine check her out!!!! You have an incredibly beautiful face and smile. Where did the rest of you go? LOL

WOW LOUANN THANK YOU for that GENEROUS compliment WOW I surely don't deserve all that, lmao! Yeah, I've slacked, honestly, in the past couple of weeks, and that is the cause of my stall...everybody is different, but these are 3 major factors of my "old" self pre-surgery, and I've recognized that creeping back into my habits..... Now if I can just drink plain water.....I feel as if I'm "cheating" when I flavor my water I know Have a great night Lou Ann, you're doing EXCELLENT too!

Thanks for sharing that , Beth. I have been eating a lot of salty stuff lately too. Do you know why having too much salt is so bad (other than maybe retaining water?). I have heard this comment a lot and don't understand why salt is so bad. I know I need to make the same diet changes that you have made. SueZ

Beth, Thanks for sharing your experiment. I too have been eating popcorn a lot. It is one of the few snacky type foods that sits well. I am trying to work on my protein intake. I think this is my biggest problem. I am lucky if I get 40 - 50 grams a day so I have started eating cottage cheese and yogurt everyday. I think I will cut the popcorn for a couple days and see if my weight loss starts again. I really didn't give the salt thing any thought because I usually buy the lite microwave popcorn that is low in salt but that could be some of my problem. Thinking back my loss has slowed down since I started snacking on popcorn in the evening. Keep posting these things you give me great inspiration to get back on track. Kim 286/226/150ish?
