Hello to all! Since I have started a regular exercise routine, my weight loss has stalled. Has anyone experienced this? My husband said he was going to throw our scales away. He says he can still see me losing. My clothes have showed it some. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Janet, I started walking 2 miles 3-4 days a week about 2 weeks ago and I haven't lost a pound since. I am so frustrated today, but I am going to keep walking eventually the pounds will disappear. Kim 286/226/150ish?

When ever my weight loss stalls I will pick a day and will replace my meals with a protein shake, so for breakfast/lunch/dinner I will have a protein shake. This always seems to get my weight loss going again... Tracy 375/262/200

You guys!!!!!!! It's muscle replacing fat. That's why you don't see it on the scale. This is a good thing. Be patient. The weight usually starts dropping on the scale like this: 1. Week A building muscle mass Week B same; inches lost Week C weight drop(small) or none at all Week D small drop or massive drop. Then the cycle starts all over. My doctor said it has more to do with metabolism than exercise. Our little monthly friend can slow things down for as much as two weeks. Men lose faster, and women with inverted pear shaped bodies lose faster than those with pear shaped bodies. In other words, if you carry your weight more on top, you lose faster. My doctor said to relax and let it happen. I think I will do as he says.

Thanks so much for the insight and knowing I am not alone. Why are those scales so addicting? I will keep on exercising and I did drop a size in my shirt and bra but pants stayed the same. I am a bottom pear shape...and I guess just need to learn to be patient. I feel I have done well. I have lost 88 lbs. and from a size 32 to 18/20 - 22. I love all the little things I can do now. I went home from work last night and got the sweeper out and cleaned around all the baseboards. Before, I could never do that. Plus I planted all my flowers this year and they are actually blooming...haven't died yet. Thanks again....and hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend.
