Ready to Cry!
I am soooo very happy for everyones amazing accomplishments that have been posted the last couple of days. BUT, now I am totally frustrated with myself. I have lost 60 lbs since my surgery (4 months today) and am thrilled with that, but I am now on week 3 at the same weight. I am hoping it is just my scale but I think I have hit my first plateau. I walked 2+ miles 3 days last week and walked around Washington D.C. all day Sunday. I have increased my protein and am drinking 60+ oz of liquids a day. I know I should be exercising at least 5 days a week but my schedule only allows for 3 sometimes 4 days.
I have been getting tons of compliments about how wonderful I look but I don't feel all that wonderful. I have lost 60 lbs and only went down 2 pant sizes. I started at size 26 and am now in loose size 22. I tried on size 20's the other day and can't even get them over my hips. What is up with that? Well I guess I will end my rant for now. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Kim,
Just wanted to give you some encourangement! I know it is frustrating - but 60 pounds in 4 months is great!!!
I was 62 pounds at 4 months. Now at 4 1/2 months I am 70 POUNDS. My M.O. is to lose weight about once a month. I lose 10 - 15 pounds in a week to a week and a half the NOTHING for 2 or 3 weeks...then it starts again.
Everyone looses differently, but try not to be discouraged You are doing fantastic and this WORKS so hang in there!

Kim:
You are doing great! You will look up and be able to fit those 20s in no time!
Try to stay off the scale, if you can. Focus on other non-scale measures, like can you walk longer this week than 2 months ago? Take your measurements, if you haven't already. I have not lost any weight in 2 weeks, but my inches are dropping like crazy. You may not be losing in the hips, but inches may be disappearing from other areas.
Keep hope alive. You will get to goal.
((((HUGS))))

I didn't measure pre-op or so far post op so I don't know if it will do me anygood to start now. I try to stay off the scale and usually only weigh Sunday or Monday morning, but since the scale has not moved in over two weeks I find myself stepping on it every morning. I know in my head it will start moving again, but my heart is what is upset by this.
Thanks for the hugs.

Awwww honey it's going to be ok. Here's what stalls MY weight loss (and I'll make a post about this evidence, too): SALT, CAFFIENE and CARBS.
I stay away from those now and my weight is MELTING again!!!! Overnight I lost 1.5#
I'm BACK IN THE AGAIN!
You WILL find your staller-foods/problems. My weight stalled oh, say about a month because our bodies DO have to adjust for a short time, THEN it melts again! Be patient hun, it will happen!

You are doing great. I too have lost 61 lbs in 4 months, and I am okay with it. My surgeon says we will average 10-12 lbs. per month. In my book that makes us above average. Ignore the scale...it will come. I had a 3 week stall early on, and it depressed me too, but things will change. You are doing great, and for the record I too still can not fit a size 20 pants. I am in a loose 22. So I think we are right on track.

Hi Kim,
I understand your frustration. I've been on 3 stalls since this whole journey began and it's not fun at all! I say "stall" because even though the scale wasn't moving, the inches were coming off.
I know it's hard, but if you can, stay away from the scale for a few days. Give yourself a break. I had to do that. When I was on my 5 week stall I would get on the scale and then just cry. I finally put the scale away and everyday I would just focus on the protein and water. Remember to change things around. Our bodies get use to the routine, so change what you're eating and don't do the same exercise everyday.
I've only lost 2 pant sizes as well, so you're not alone girlie
It all depends on how we carry our weight etc.
Keep your chin up
The weight WILL come off!
