Lou Ann: I just go to bed, too. I try my best not to eat after dinner. Sometimes, I will have a protein shake, but usually there is no time. I usually eat dinner around 6. What time do you eat your last snack? Ms. Sassy

I was told quite some time ago that I would probably see a big difference in appetite once I reached my 3 month mark and again at the 6 & 9 month mark I just try really hard to keep busy or I just keep on drinkin' the water Deanna

hey lou ann i have had bouts of what you are describing and what i have done and what has cured it for me i try to work a banana or 2 in during the day and it seems to give my pouch some extra bulk and tends to stay there a little longer than most items i eat, i still get head hunger at times, and if i get that at night i eat a little sugar free ice cream (carb IQ) and it seems to satisfy that hunger desire, I eat good during the day but dinner i tend to have trouble getting a full satisfying dinner down i always have left overs and i think that has alot to do with it...so i make sure during the day i get a little more into me. i am not sure if any of this helps but it has worked for me. smile

Hi Lou Ann! I had lap rny on January 10, 2005. This is a typical days menu for me: Breakfast - none Lunch - 3 oz. of protein (chicken, fish) sometimes I will have a little baby greens with some balsamic vinegar. Dinner - The same thing normally since I prepare the protein to last me 2 lunches, and 1 dinner. By then, I've gotten tired and will prepare another protein dish. I have 2- 9 oz. Isopure Shakes everyday, and approx. 130-140 ounces of water (with Crystal Light, or a Diet Snapple) My doctor does not allow any snacks. You might want to try increasing your protein intake at each meal and possibly your water intake. Hope this helps! Aloha, Pat 261/204/goal 115

Lou Ann To break this habit trying to creep back in your life, I'd try this: Eat (between 4pm and 6pm, your choice) about 2-4oz of nothing but MEAT (pork, beef, chicken, tuna, fish, whatever) and add a bit of cheese. That should fill your belly enough. Wait to drink ANYTHING for at least an hour, maybe up to an hour and half. That way, you'll be full longer. If you find you are still munchy-gripped, eat another ounce of meat no later than 9pm. Keep drinking tha****er, believe me it helps. Watch the carbs, they make you hungrier too... This is advice from my surgeon, so I'd check with your doc before you do this, k? ~*~Beth~*~ -71

I am like this but what I have found is my days where my breakfast and lunch are dinner type of foods (meats and really dense protein sources) and my dinner is Atkins cereal (it is really fibery so it keeps you full for HOURS!) I think you are hungry because you are starving. Try adding more solid proteins and some CC milk or milk products...Atkins yogurt,etc...maybe add it in as a snack or change to 4 or 5 small meals a day with protien as a base. What you describe does not sound like enough protein or vitamins...or low glycemic carbs. Sher' 272/216/???
