So, I'm a little nervous about the size of the seat and seatbelt, but I'll get over it -- I just had the worst experience last August while flying home from Utah -- totally embarrassed by the flight steward about the seatbelt extender... I am soooooo hoping that the 60+ gone forever will make a difference tonight! I'm flying to Washington DC to visit my 27 yo son for his BD. We'll spend the week together seeing all the sites, and I'll attend one of his lectures (professor of history at UCDC = a california university sister school). I'm sooooooo excited, but a teeny bit nervous, too. Have a FABULOUS week, friends, and I'll see you all next week -- !!!!

Hi Wendy I have no idea your current weight or height, but likely you will do fine. I am 5.9" and 297 lbs (73 lbs gone) but I carry my weight in front. So the seats are still snug for me, I was so hoping they would be much much looser, but I can get the tray down now, so that is something. If you carry more of your weight in your rump then you will be better off than me likely. I still have problems with the seat belt on some planes, but I own my own extender and have for years because I travel a lot for business. I have no idea how I managed before the 70 lbs loss... mystery. I have to take a flight on June 2nd to Scotland, I can only hope that I losse another few lbs between now and then, to make the seats a little roomer. But I have an idea for me it will take another 50 lbs before I notice a huge difference in the side to side fit. I am sure you will be just fine. Have fun !! Kiva

what a great time to go to Washington, the wheather is great this time of year. If you need an extender ask when you check in and they should have one for you waiting. Have fun......................Peggy PS. remember to get up and walk around while flying.
