getting lazy & it shows
Good Choice Mary
Curves is good, from what I hear, but it is very structured (I haven't been there before, just going on heresay)
Cory Eversons' For Women is EXCELLENT, I was a member there from 2000-01 and lost 48# while working out!
Gold's is co-ed, so I am too shy to work out in front of guys LOL
Also, about your stall, make sure you are drinking PLENTY of water and or liquids with water in it. Someone posted on the main board tonight, Tooter I think it was, said that 64oz is the MINIMUM amt for a sedetary person (non-active/lazy) but for those that are more active and work out, we should take in a lot more due to sweating and losing electrolytes, too.
Just an FYI
Keep me posted about what gym you've chosen. I sure do wish I could join one, but since I lost my job, I can't afford it. I ride my bike and walk on the home treadmill
Good Luck

their are so many reasons not to get up and work out...believe me i know them all....i have created a rule that has helped me....if i do not want to go to the gym and work out...i still stop by the gym on way home and sign in...it might sound crazy but once i get in the door and sign in..only once have i not worked out and thats because i felt lousy...it is not easy setting aside time to work out and sometimes you just do not feel like it.
push yourself....create motivation within your soul....let nothing interfere with you achieving your goal....i am not a gym lover but you would never know it..i am a lover of the results and feeling i get when i feel i have accomplished a good work out....my last and largest weight gain that pushed me to this surgery is a direct result of not working out...i went to the gym all the time over passed 8 years then one day i skipped it...then skipped again...then started eating too heavy and 1 day became a week and a week became a month and that month became a year,,then when i went back i was too heavy and self concious to make any real gains and got discouraged and ate myself into a comfort zone of 400lbs. exercise is the key to success...i have never seen a success story without it....so give it all you got...you have already said i want to be healthy the minute you went to your first consul and then you made a commitment when you got the surgery..don't forget where you want to be....your post has helped me also...you made me think about my goals and my desires...and i wish you the best...and be the best you can be. i feel a bond with you because i know how you are feeling right now.
I have taken a few days off from working out also and it is hard to get back into it. You are right, we all need to move more.
BTW, I have been looking at profiles (you can blame that on Beth's earlier message about profiles--LOL), and your profile is so pretty. I love the roses theme! I was looking for something like that when I had mine "spruced up", but settled for something a little different, which ended up okay.
Let me know which gym you join. Right now I am just going to the gym on the navy base, but have been considering joing Curves or something else.

Hi Mary,
I wanted to let you know just in case your interested I have some Guest passes to Curves for a 2 week free trail membership you can have if you would like one of them. I have four passes left that expire on July 31 and several that expire Dec.31. Curves will only honor 1 pass per person but if you have a work out buddy I can send you more. I have never been to curves before because I go to a gym on base for free and its less then 5 minutes from home. Let me know if your interested.
Stephanie
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just joined Planet Fitness. It was 29 to join and 15 a month. Unlimited and they are open 24 hours a day. I am an early riser so I like that. I can go and be done before the day is started :>
Thanks for all the encouragement. And Stephanie, thank you for the Curves offer that was so sweet of you.
Mary
