I had started to let me hair grow longer. Haven't had a real cut since before my surgery (just trims). Well now that it is coming out in clumps I fear thin spots on my scalp and will have to cut it short if the fallout continues. Then I can start letting it grow back again. My nutritionist says it usually comes out between 3-6 months then it stabalizes and comes back. Mary

Me too... I have been taking Biotin since a few weeks before surgery. I just started upping my dose to two a day since my hair is thinnning so fast now. However, I have not tried any kind of special shampoo. Anyone out there know where I can get something topical? I forgot to wear a hat this saturday during my yard sale and now my scalp is burnt so now it's falling out even faster! UGH! I am just so scared that it won't grow back at all since I have female baldness in my family! I get my protein in 95% of the time so this is really making "feeling beautiful" hard. If anymore falls out I am considering chopping all of my hair off (like it is not short enough already) and start to wear a wig! If it all grows back, I can just donate the wig9s) to a cancer ward! I too am loosing quite a bit of hair. Thank goodness that I had a lot of hair to begin with, but I noticed that after a weekend spent in Arizona my head is very sore, so I must have gotten burnt. I have been taking Biotin 2000mg daily, and using Nioxin shampoo and booster treatment, and taking a hair/skin vitamin. But so far nothing is helping to stop it, but I can only hope that it keeps it from falling completly out. I guess it is a small price to pay to loose the type of weight most of us are loosing. So I suppose if it all falls out I will either wear a hat or buy a wig. I know it stops at about 7-8 mos out. So I guess it is a waiting game. Kiva

Since I started using Nioxin (shampoo, condition, and rejuvinator), I've noticed less and less loss every shampooing
