Rejoicing Movement and Flexibility!
I am 5' 10", 300 lbs (down from 373lbs) and just wanted to smile about something. Just this far out and I can already move more freely and with much more flexibility! Getting up and down, and standing up longer... much better! I love it! I just noticed that I was standing to do my hair and make-up - which is something that I had previously bought a small chair for because it was uncomfortable to stand that long!
What was your first great new "Movement" or "Flexibility" moment?
Have a great day! Happy people live longer!
Love, Jenny
Jenny, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
It is a great feeling to be able to move around better and it isn't so hard anymore.
My first new "movement" was being able to just get up and move. It was hard for me before surgery because I had no energy. Now there is so much energy on most days.
I can tie my shoes without my stomach being smushed!! That was a great moment!!!
Keep it up, the 200's are just around the corner!!!

Congratz Girl! It sounds like you are almost ready to start a stretching routine. I was never able to touch my toes but even since Post-Op week 6, I have been doing a 25 minute stretching routine each morning and each afternoon and now I am so much more flexible and no more morning stiffness!
My first realization of flexibility and movement was somewhere around week 5 post op when the phone rang and I sprang from the bed to get it. It took me about 10 minutes to realized that I had gotten out of bed without assistance, without having to stretch my feet first (I have plantar faciatis and had to stretch feet and calves before putting weight on my feet) or without taking 15 minutes to take a few steps! It was like night and day!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

Congratulations Jenny!!!! I am so proud of you!! Keep up the good work!!
Guess what? We share the same surgery date! We crossed over to the "losing side" on the same day, January 10, 2005.
I know exactly what you mean, I finally can see my feet without my stomach being in the way! For me the greatest "Movement" or "Flexibility"
moment when I noticed I could squat and pick something up without my big tummy getting all crunched.
Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend!
